Most attentive service I've had in Memphis is the best thing I can say about this place. The plate are HOT while the food is room temperature and dry. They clearly prepare food earlier in the week and microwave it on order. I understand that with dishes like jambalaya it doesn't get it made on order but this is unacceptable.... More

I have been to Deja Vu several times, and it never disappoints. My favorite time to go is on Fat Tuesday. Chef Gary has a second line around the restaurant while you chow down on his amazing food. I've never ordered something bad. Delicious!

Good food, a bit pricey. We shared several items for lunch including 3 appetizers. the BBQ shirmp appetizer was $11, side salad $6...you get the idea. Good food but not an upscale location to justify the cost. We had 3 apps, 1 entree, and 1 soda for lunch and the bill was nearly $50 with tip.

Excellent customer service! Food was fresh, not overly seasoned, well prepared and not too pricey for downtown. I had the shrimp poboy, sweet potato fries and greens. For dessert I had beignets. My family had gator Poboys, beans and rice, and fried plantains.

Having read all the TripAdvisor reviews, I was expecting a fabulous meal. It was good, but not worth the high prices for each entree. My two kids, ages 11 and 4 liked the gator stew. Even though there isn't an official kid's menu, the waitress said they could make almost any entree into a kid's size portion. That was fine... More

It was definitely less spicy than most would expect or want from Cajun food but was great nonetheless. Perhaps they're catering to weak palated people or something.

The service was amazing...the food, not so much. I'm from the boot and this is not Cajun cooking. The cornbread was good, but leave the Cajun cooking to the coonasses. Jambalaya ain't red, gumbo is not thick as mud, and beignets ain't made with a biscuit outta a can. Please- buy some Tonys and put some heat in your meat!

The service/servers were nice and helpful. The food took a while to come out and it just didn't measure up. I tried both locations with two different sets of friends and we all came to the same conclusion that we're weren't going back. I was kind of disappointed about that because I'd tasted some of his food at a cooking... More

The food was quite good. The server seemed to really want to up-sell us, pushing appetizers and dessert at lunch time, but they were very nice and attentive.

We stumbled upon this restaurant while strolling downtown. Staff was super friendly and seemed very knowledgable about celiac disease and they offered a number of gluten free options. The bayou rolls were yummy and the hot wings were nice and spicy. I had the oyster po boy and the breading for the oysters had a wonderful taste to it. We... More
