A friend brought us here while we visited for The BBQ competition. At his suggestion we tried the smoked wings. They were excellent. Moist and flavorful, not dry at all, as some smoked wings tend to be. The wife tried the chicken strips and enjoyed...them. I tried the smoked chicken debris sandwich and it was excellent. So much so, I intend to recreate it at home. I love small places like this. These one of a kind places are just what I look for while away from home. It is a bar, and it’s a bit small, but worth the visit. The place has some character. It’s not one of the bland, cookie-cutter eateries that are popping up all over.More

Amazing Wings and onion straws as well as sandwiches. When they have music it's almost always local bands which adds to the vibe. Service is a bit slow but everything else makes it worth while.

stopped in to try out their vaunted wings and a burger. We tried 3 flavors - the blazing, lemon-pepper and dry-rub. They all have a smoked, 24-hour marinade base. The smoky flavor was great. I didn't care for the lemon-pepper but my guest did. I...preferred the blazing sauce - very good, but not enough to tear me away from my favorite (D'Bos). The burger was judged very good also. This is located in a transitional neighborhood and it's not pretending to be anything but a bar, so don't go if you're interested in ambiance. Friends rave about the wings and other finger foods on the menu, so try it outMore

So we like to bar hop in places just like this, and we weren't disappointed! We had the onion straws and 10 wings; half dry rub, half sweet heat. We liked both but loved the sweet heat! Great wings, but fantastic service! Loved JB, what...a great host! She keeps music on, makes great suggestions, keeps tabs on everyone so we don't get lonely... and looks like she loves her job! Pay this lady a lot, please! She's worth it. Great food and atmosphere. Sorry we left to barhop elsewhere- nothing compared.More

5 stars might be to low of score. It is weird location, but appears pretty safe. It is not by much, and it’s small, but has outside deck. The food is simply amazing. The wings might be the best in Memphis. The Pancho cheese fries...were great too. The service was great too, but it did not have to be for me, cause food is soo good. Me and my 8 year old daughter are hooked. I have not like a place like this in awhile.More

You got to try the “sweet heat” wings. Big meaty wings, slow smoked and covered in a amazing sauce. Several local Memphis beers on tap. Fun wait staff. This is old school mid-south at its best.

Went there last night. It is one of the premium dive bars! Lol Love their patio but it could use extending! I think they may have that in the works. I ordered their wings, Jerk chicken style. They came out looking black. They are supposed...to be 3rd in the city for their wings. Once I peeled the skin back & took a bite, it was like biting into brine!! I asked the waitress about them & she said they soak them in brine all day!! GROSS! I couldn't eat them. Who wants brine wings?? So, I replaced it with their Dirty Crow BLT. It says jalapeno cornbread. It turns out the bread is more like texas toast. It does have a cornbread texture somewhat & it also has small jalapeno bits. This was delicious!! I also had them add cheddar cheese. I would order that again! What a cool twist on an American standard. My husband ordered their cheeseburger & added an extra patty. It was huge! He also said it was very tasty. It was somewhat chaotic with a twosome playing on the deck. The band was fun. They did manage to get our tab right!! We would return again!! I'd give them 3 1/2 stars if I could!More

From the posters on the ceiling to the great food this place just works for me. If you are snooty and need to be pampered, then you may not get what is so great about The Dirty Crow (except the great food of course). When...you are there you feel like you have disappeared into your own exclusive getaway. The lighting is kept low so you don't notice other folks unless you want to. The staff is engaging. It all just works. Did I mention the food is really good. Highly recommend if you are into dive bars with class.More

Every time I've gone here I've gotten the 10 piece wings and fries. I've literally never been disappointed by the food or atmosphere of this place. It's not loud and crowded, it's easy to get to, and the wings are the best in Memphis without...a doubt! I've gotten them with the Dry Rub, the Honey Sriracha, and the Lemon seasonings. These are all equally delicious, but I usually go half dry rub and half sriracha. Try them all!More

The wings here are great. The burger is very good as were the specialty beers I had (can't remember name). The poutine was not good though. Something about the gravy was just off. Worth the visit for the wings though.
