This was FANTASTIC in every way! First - the food was the best. Delicious, flavorful, and everything cooked perfectly. I don't even care for mushrooms that much, but I love trying new things, so I had the Burgandy mushrooms with my Pulled Pork sandwich, and...they were soooo good! Husband had catfish and corn fritters, which were crispy and delicious, and neither was greasy at all. Made me wished I had tried the Fried Green Tomatoes, but I wasn't that hungry when we came in. Daughter of course had to get the Peanut Butter/Banana/Bacon Sandwich, as she's a huge Elvis fan, and it did not disappoint. Again - cooked perfectly, not at all greasy or soggy, and just a touch of powdered sugar put this over the top (I hate when places put too much powdered sugar on things and ruin a good thing, so this was great that they knew just the right amount!) We had left overs that made for a perfect breakfast in the morning! We were staying at Graceland's Guest House, and needed supper when we came into town. Was told this place was good, and they offer FREE pink Cadillac rides to the restaurant! Was perfect, as we didn't feel like driving any more, plus it was my daughter's birthday and this made it extra special. Of course, you should tip the driver, which was worth it, as he was friendly and full of great information. The service at the restaurant - this waitress was also our favorite. My reciept says "waiter 41 Maile". She was soooo sweet & friendly and made us feel at ease right away. Elvis is everywhere! I love restaurants full of memorabilia and history, and we were here for an Elvis weekend. So it was so fun to walk in, and see Elvis everywhere on the walls, and they had an Elvis movie showing on the tvs, and Elvis music playing too - perfect! I did not know when we went, that this was featured on my husband's favorite show, "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives"! That was just a fun bonus, as usually we seek those places out! Gift shop - there's a ton of cool stuff in the gift shop (and a pressed penny machine when you walk in the restaurant, which are my favorite souvinirs). And the lady who ran the gift shop was so kind and friendly too, a total sweetheart. We were only in town a couple days, and really wanted to eat here again. But we figured we should try some other new places - in the end, I wished we had eaten here again, as no other place matched this one on food, not to mention all the other wonderful things about Marlowe's. I hope to return again!More

This was a pick up order - The BBQ sandwiches (one pork and one beef) were very tasty and packed with meat. The sauce was the dark tangy type, and just right. The service was fabulous. Three our four of them greeted me, and you...couldn't tell who worked there and who owned the place. Just an all around great feeling I got when going in. FYI, the order took less than five minutes.More

On a recent Memphis layover staying at The Guest House at Graceland, we found out that the on-site restaurant was closed and had to find an off-site alternative. We stopped in at Marlowe's which was just down the street and were very happy we did....The staff were outgoing and friendly, the atmosphere was funky and fun and the food was delicious. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles to start and they were among the best we've ever had. We then shared a rack of ribs for two dinner with sides of coleslaw and the sautéed burgundy mushrooms. Everything was delicious. Unfortunately we left no room for dessert. Maybe next time! Would definitely eat here again!More

Staying at the Graceland RV park our options for dining out were limited due to transportation. The Park Office suggested Marlowe’s as they delivered or would pickup people and bring them back. We opted for the ride to the restaurant. The ribs were quite good....The side dishes were ok, but that might just be a California Restaurant palette trying southern-cooking. Although not on the menu, they did offer bar drinks. The wine came in wine came in what I would consider “a tasting glass” as opposed to a “good pour” but again I’m used to California dining in Napa Valley restaurants. The ride to/from the restaurant was fun as they use a vintage pink Cadillac limo. The restaurant itself was decorated with historic items and Elvis music was piped throughout. All in all, it was a fun experience and I’d go back for the ribs and another pice of Mud pie.More

The service here is always above expectations. Had pulled pork dinner with onion rings. Delicious. Have been here about 8 times and always fun atmosphere. Will stop again. Thank you Marlowe's for making it well worth stopping by. Nice job of spacing with the covid...issue.More

Awesome BBQ, generous portions & great price. We loved all of the Elvis memorabilia and the fact that there were Elvis movies playing in the TVs.

The ribs were amazing here. So much to look at while eating some truly great bbq. They will pick you up from the Guest House in a Pink Caddy Limo. Everyone was so friendly to us. Learned about several thing from talking with the staff.

We had such high expectations considering this restaurant was featured on triple D and is ranked #2. Unfortunately they did not deliver. We ordered the combo platter with chicken tenders, fried pickles, fried green tomatoes and corn fritters. The corn fritters were great! The rest...were ok. I ordered the ribs and brisket with Mac and cheese and mushrooms. The bbq was good but needed more sauce. The Mac and cheese tasted wise then a box Mac and cheese. t was suppose to be a baked but it was runny and no crust or baked type top. The mushrooms were good flavored. We were served rolls and they were really dense. We took much of the bbq home and ate it cold the next day which was very good.More

Searched on TA for good BBQ place and read several reviews. Ho hum... bbq was okay, not anything outstanding. The best thing were the corn fritters. Ordered the appetizer combo platter, the homemade dipping sauces were ok. I ordered smoked chicken and rib platter. with...two sides. Okra was hot, but baked beans were overly sweet and tasted like canned beans. Didn’t eat more than one bite. Dinner rolls were dense and hard. Portions were plentiful, especially when getting an appetizer. Feel sorry for the staff that have to listen to Elvis songs ALL the time. It’s like hearing Christmas music all the time. Granted Graceland is down the street and is a draw for customers, but Memphis is so much more.More

You would have to ask at the restaurant. Since it is tomato based and there is no gluten in tomatoes.......
