Wife and I ordered the rack of ribs for two @$31 and two sides each. Sunday night and busy after 7 pm arrival. Ordered quickly but waited and waited. Finally asked server and it seemed like she had forgotten to check on our order. She...then brought it with profuse apology. The half my wife took was meaty and pink but not fall off the bone which I like. Mine was way less meaty and had too much fat. I've had ribs many places and these were not the best. Cole slaw was excellent as was the brownie and ice cream dessert for $6. We loved the Elvis atmosphere but think I would try one of the other BBQ places next time. Rendezvous restaurant we went to years ago in Memphis was much better!!More

This was our second try to find a great meal at Marlowes. The first visit back in May 2022 the meals were cold, but we wanted to give Marlowes another try on our latest Memphis visit, While the bean burger burger was very good and...enjoyed, the bbq beef was really lacking, dried out and even with extra sauce was not improved. The smoke from the BBQ was so noticeable inside that it became problematic within a half hour of the visit. Jenny our server, and the bright spot of this visit, was wonderful. Disappointing and unlikely to return next time in town.More

Visited September 2022 This place is literally such a gem to have close by! We came over from London and stayed at the Guest House down the street so our phones didn't really work to call up and book someone to get us so the...hotel did it for us. We booked and got an 8 pm booking, someone came and got us and dropped us back whenever we were ready (for free - though we tipped them of course), and our driver was super friendly and informative to our questions as both times we attended (we went twice) there was a Scottish couple and then an Australian son and father together, so we all had a lot of questions. And the drivers were all lovely answering and very funny. Also, one in particular was nice enough to take tons of photos of us in front of the pink limo and the restaurant so thank you again for that! The food itself is delicious, literally had 0 complaints about any of it, and it's extremely reasonably priced - I nearly cried from joy seeing how well-priced alcohol is, especially when compared to the hotel's restaurants. The staff was lovely, the drivers were amazing and the food was great! If I come back to Memphis, we are sure to come here every night again!More

I’m a solo traveler and went to Marlowe’s for dinner as it was highly recommended by a local. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and was incredible. I ordered the 3 meat and 3 side plate which was amazing....The food also came with homemade corn bread which was delicious especially when used to soak up the meat juice and bbq sauce. Highly recommended this place and has been the best bbq I’ve had so far on my travels through the SouthMore

Went during Liberty Bowl week. Staff is friendly and fast ... seemed on edge though and our waitress couldn't tell us what beer was available (no list?). Could have been the crowd or the water issues during that week. Ribs were for sure tasty and...the rest of the BBQ we tried was OK, just not warm when we got it. The Bananas Foster Sundae is AMAZING.More

Recommended by someone who used to live in Memphis. Very good. The people who work there are so nice and personable. Generous pours with the cocktail! Located very near Graceland.

Marlowe's is a cool spot for a quick bite to eat when visiting the Whitehaven neighborhood in Memphis, TN. There are many cool spots in the area with great food but this one puts you in mind of the television show Cheers.

We were on an escorted tour of the Deep South and were recommended this restaurant by the tour guide. After a long day visitting Graceland we were picked up by the restaurants own pink cadillac whose driver wetted our appetite with some recommendations and some...great banter. After 10 minutes we arrived, the restaurant was very busy but we were still seated within 5 minutes. The decor and layout was typical of a 60s diner and light Elvis music (obviously) was playing. We ordered Ribs and Fried chicken which were plentiful and delicious, the ribs being the best that I have ever had and I have had many!! We then shared a banana sundae which again was superb. Although busy the staff were attentive without being overpowering. When we had finished we were again taken back to our hotel in the pink cadillac which is complimentary but a tip is advisable.More

The highlight was training in a pink Cadillac. It all went down hill from there , over 40 minutes waiting in line. Eventually got a table thank goodness there were 4 of us teamed up together. Quiet a wait for food, went for lasagna ,...disappointed in it . The kitchen could not keep up with the amount of customers. They didn’t seem to have enough servers. The tables were not being cleared quickly due to the lack of staffMore

My wife and I were in Memphis for the first time to visit Graceland. Being in Memphis we wanted to try some REAL Memphis BBQ, and as Marlowe's has excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and Google, and is close to Graceland, it seemed a perfect choice....Well...things aren't always what they seem. Our visit was at 4pm Sunday, 11/20/22, just as the restaurant was opening for business that evening. We were the second customers in the restaurant. Our waitress was personable and attentive throughout our dinner. The service was fine. The food was horrible. To be specific, my wife and I both ordered brisket that was flavorless and cold. Everything, except my wife's fried okra, was cold. Did we mention the problem with the temperature of the food to our waitress or a manager? No. We were the second customers of the evening, and aside from not understanding how the food could be cold, the evening was passing us by. As we had other things to do, we just dealt with it, But it was bad. We also met other folks later who, on another visit, had the exact same experience as us- expensive (for the quality), cold, bland food. I know; the Pink Cadillac used for shuttling customers who want that experience is cool. Still, the meal shouldn't be cold. Find another ride and another meal. Maybe some good Memphis BBQ. My attempt at having some good Memphis BBQ during my short stay in Memphis was a failure. If this review saves a reader money and disappointment, or spurs improvements in this restaurant then it will have served its purpose.More

Fantastic atmosphere and food! A big shout out to our waitress Julie who was likely juggling a dozen tables at the same time but was always smiling :) Lots of unique Elvis stuff at the gift shop. Go early - it gets busy FAST!

You would have to ask at the restaurant. Since it is tomato based and there is no gluten in tomatoes.......
