Was staying at the campground next to the Graceland museums, etc. We were told that Marlowes was a great place to eat. They’ll even pick you up in a pink Cadillac, though they’re not timely.
The ribs were done in a rub and sauce was on the side. Service was good. They even have unsweetened and sweet tea for those who don’t drink alcohol. They have a designated are for celebrations. Would return again.

Staying at the Graceland RV park our options for dining out were limited due to transportation. The Park Office suggested Marlowe’s as they delivered or would pickup people and bring them back. We opted for the ride to the restaurant.
The ribs were quite good. The side dishes were ok, but that might just be a California Restaurant palette trying southern-cooking. Although not on the menu, they did offer bar drinks. The wine came in wine came in what I would consider “a tasting glass” as opposed to a “good pour” but again I’m used to California dining in Napa Valley restaurants.
The ride to/from the restaurant was fun as they use a vintage pink Cadillac limo. The restaurant itself was decorated with historic items and Elvis music was piped throughout.
All in all, it was a fun experience and I’d go back for the ribs and another pice of Mud pie.

Unsure if this place is a sincere tribute to Elvis (it's 100% stuffed with memorabilia and plays a SiriusXM Elvis channel non-stop) or just cashing in on being located right down the street from Graceland. But it doesn't really matter. The 'que is flat out righteous Memphis-style, the sides are authentic southern and the service is top notch.
Started with fried green tomatoes (duh no brainer for Cali travelers, right?). Moved to a rib/brisket combo with green and baked beans, and bbq shrimp with slaw and mac and cheese. Finished with Mississippi Mud cake. Everything was fresh, tender and perfectly seasoned and prepared. We're not big fans of sauce so next time we'll have the brisket dry, tho'.
Dunno if this is the best 'que place in town, but the two of us left full, satisfied and less than 50 bucks lighter so we'll be back if we go through Memphis again.

I visited Marlowes for the gluten free BBQ as I was nearby on business and wanted to experience some good Memphis food which luckily was gluten free. The good was good, although I was really not a particular fan of the relatively spicy BBQ sauce. The pulled pork was OK and had quite a bit of gristle to pick through to find the meat. Coleslaw was good, beans not anything special. Good price at 11 bucks and served really quickly at 4:30 on a weekend. However, a week or so later when my hubs was tracking my credit card, he asked if I ate there twice, which I did not. Apparently they ran by card through twice, with a second charge to increase my tip by a few bucks. I had left almost a 15% tip, but apparently they felt this was inadequate. I have never had a restaurant do this before, so I will likely not visit them again when in Memphis.

I can usually eat BBQ a few times a year and was very opinionated about Memphis BBQ before trying it. I had read about the vinegar taste etc. I am used to a honey-molasses-brown sugar sweet BBQ, BUT.....we ordered the BBQ Pork sandwich and half rack of ribs, corn nuggets and fries. The pork was delicious and no need for sauce, the ribs even better! With deliver fees etc. the first night we paid 65$ for two and the second night we ordered online and picked up and took back to hotel and the meal was $44 with a $13 tip huge difference in price. Great food, would eat here again if I came to Memphis (7 hours away), so not a luxury.

This was a pick up order - The BBQ sandwiches (one pork and one beef) were very tasty and packed with meat. The sauce was the dark tangy type, and just right. The service was fabulous. Three our four of them greeted me, and you couldn't tell who worked there and who owned the place. Just an all around great feeling I got when going in. FYI, the order took less than five minutes.

Searched on TA for good BBQ place and read several reviews. Ho hum... bbq was okay, not anything outstanding. The best thing were the corn fritters. Ordered the appetizer combo platter, the homemade dipping sauces were ok. I ordered smoked chicken and rib platter. with two sides. Okra was hot, but baked beans were overly sweet and tasted like canned beans. Didn’t eat more than one bite. Dinner rolls were dense and hard. Portions were plentiful, especially when getting an appetizer. Feel sorry for the staff that have to listen to Elvis songs ALL the time. It’s like hearing Christmas music all the time. Granted Graceland is down the street and is a draw for customers, but Memphis is so much more.

This was our second visit to Marlowe's. This time we went during Elvis Week! The food is great! The staff is top notch! Don't forget to check out the gift shop. The serving of fried pickles is generous and so are the nachos.

We loved this restaurant. This was our first time to Memphis and we saw the advertisement for this restaurant and the offer that they would pick you up at your hotel (limited to certain hotels on their list ) in a pink Cadillac for free. So we called and they picked us up at our hotel and we really enjoyed the ride and the restaurant. Our driver and the restaurant staff were all very friendly and the food was excellent. My husband had the brisket and said it was delicious and I had the chicken tenders and they were very good. The restaurant has a gift shop with unique Elvis items for sale and the restaurant is decorated with lots of Elvis memorabilia. Great place to eat while you are in Memphis.

We were dressed up after a business meeting and stopped by. Our food took a while and our chicken tenders were all burnt. Admittedly, the manager said the cook accidentally sauced the chicken before frying it so they burned. She had zero people skills and never accommodated us. The server stated she would call “the law” if we didn’t pay. She implied this while everyone had credit cards out ready to pay. Really bad experience.

place is old runned down and dirty, lured into that by the porter of The Guest House at Graceland hotel with the pink limo ride. anyone would be better off eating a tv dinner. the place seems to be a local hang out at the bar for locals who interestingly enough do not order food there only drinks, we should have payed more attention to that and not the lure of Elvis Presley memobrila. Save yourself the big bucks and NOT go to this place. plenty of fast food places around a lot cheaper and tastier than the smoked everything food or the groce looking prehistoric looking chicken wings or even the greasy chicken tenders or smoked chicken or ribs or even corn fritters were groce 🤮🤢

We went bc we saw it was in Triple D. The meat was so tough and none of the sides were good. We got fried Gouda and it came with cold marinara sauce. The silverware was all dirty. My family of 4 went through several bundles before we found clean silverware. We should’ve left when we unwrapped dirty silverware. Bathroom was disgusting.

While traveling through Memphis stopped by one hour opening at 5pm Sunday. First bad sign, no smoke coming from the building and no aroma of fresh BBQ. Old, drab, and sticky floors. I asked server if they have burnt ends, she did not know what burnt ends are. She recommended the brisket which was dry, no bark, no pink lines. Covered with BBQ sauce; great brisket needs no sauce. Baked beans average, slaw good. The men’s restroom was tiny and filthy one hour after opening, with very few in the building. Big let down. Can not recommend.

This is one of my favorite restaurants of all time there was not one disappointing dish from the start to finish. The fried pickles were great and the sauce was even better. For my main course I had the brisket and chicken. My friends got the ribs and they couldn’t stop talking about it and how “it falls right off the bone” They come with an amazing bbq sauce on top. The sides were good but one of my favorite things about the whole meal was the pecan pie we got at the end. This was a top dessert I’ve ever had so authentic and rich with flavors truly creates an explosion in your mouth. Must hit if In Memphis

We got picked up at our hotel in their free pink limo. Were there quickly & returned us afterwards quickly. The service was good. Waiter was cheerful and checked by often. Food was speedy and very good. Ribs just fell off bones they were so tender. Price was very reasonable. Cute Elvis decor & music. Will definitely return
