Hi Rowardennan Hotel. I paid to park in your carpark back in October, I also bought a drink to take away from the outside bar. My friend also paid for his parking. Shortly after this you started sending me letters claiming I hadn't paid for...my parking and that I owed you £100. I tried calling and leaving messages explaining there had been a mistake. Quickly this was escalated to a parking agency who decided they'd add another £70 to the "fine". I tried calling them, but there is no option to explain a mistake has been made, only an option to pay. I have emailed you 5 times relating to this. The second time I emailed one of your staff named Timea requested more information and a photo of the letters I have been receiving. I provided this to you but despite numerous further emails you continue to ignore me. Meanwhile I'm being threatened with court action by some agency that has subsequently purchased this debt, now apparently over £200. You are a horrible hotel, even that fact that you work with such an agency says everything about your attitude. I've had a look around the internet and there are loads of others who have had the same experience. COVID is also no excuse. We are all living and working as best we can through COVID and everyone can still access their emails. I can only hope anyone thinking of staying at your hotel in future reads this and makes up their own mind.More
Very pleased with our bar meal here, sitting outside overlooking Loch Lomond.
Were warned were very busy that evening, but our two Steak & Ale pies came in about 15 minutes. Very warming and welcoming after a days walk.
My husband and I enjoyed a much deserved meal after a kayaking experience on the Loch.
We had not booked or planned to eat out after visiting the area to kayak, but it was such a beautiful afternoon and the hotel has a large beer...garden with amazing views that we decided to extend our visit and have something to eat.
We both chose the steak pie, which was very tasty and great quality, and was served with lovely fresh, nicely cooked vegetables - we would highly recommend.
The staff were all very friendly and provided a great level of customer service during these challenging times.More
Should have known when we arrived and had to pay to park that things were not going to be good.
So it started off badly and fell away.
Despite the open fire it was cold and dingy.
The staff were pleasant but the service wasn’t...great.
We ordered chicken wings and haggis balls.
The wings were awful long skinny meatless and covered in horrible sauce that made using your fingers to eat them, impossible. The dips were inedible. Tasted like raw garlic, blue cheese sauce was not a dip it was solid. I ate one wing and gave up.
The haggis was fine.
I was so hungry so I was really hoping the main would be better. It wasn’t.
I ordered smoked fish which was like rubber. Frozen fish.
1 person risotto which was like cooked rice no flavour atall.
2 people had southern fried chicken( tasted like frozen chicken) and the corn was mushy.
Then we got our bill. Overpriced!!!
DO NOT EAT HERE!!!More
This will change on friday with Goverment enforced table service but on our trip it was a disgrace. No distancing in the bar queue and no separate eating area. The bar ie restaurant is well used by the campsite. Very basic food choice.
We had dinner here as we were staying at the adjoining hotel. I had the veggie taco chili and my partner had the burger. The taco shells were completely stale, the veggie chili itself was nothing special and the rice that came with it was...the ready in a minute rice. As for the burger, we wished we'd seen all of the other reviews on the burger before ordering! It was very underwhelming - the pattie was a pre-made supermarket pattie that was freezer burnt around the outside. Fries were the only good things about the dishes. On a side note - they were having issues with their WiFi which multiple people approached staff about however they weren't interested in resolving. This wouldn't normally be a big issue but as the hotel doesn't have WiFi (you're told to go the restaurant area to use) and there is no reception in the area, it would have been great to have it working as we needed it to book future things for our trip.More
We had dinner and breakfast at the Rowardennan Hotel Restaurant. It was convenient for us since we were staying there and there wasn't much other choice for eating nearby on foot.
Reservations were required for dinner - even for hotel quests - whether dining inside...or outside. The outside dining was limited to uncovered picnic tables.
For dinner I chosed the Pork Belly which I thought wasn't very good, probably the worst Pork Belly that I had ever experienced. I did enjoy the potatoes with my meal. My Hiking Partner ordered the Hamburger dinner which he did not enjoy nor finish. Perhaps our menu choices were just ill-advised butit was surprising that both of our dinner choices should both be unsatisfactory.
Breakfast was presented buffet style, as usual. However, the arrangement of the serving trays and food items was haphazard and insufficient. Even at the start of the breakfast meal, many items were not available or ready yet. Eggs were being produced one-by-one to be put in the warmers. Whether a staffing or management problem, or both; the restaurant at the Rowardennan Hotel could have made a better job of it.More

Hi - the outdoor company looks like it is based on hotel land, very close to the hotel, but I am sure that the hotel would be able to put you in touch with the company. I did walk straight past it while walking part of the WHW but the name did not register!
