Ate there on Saturday with my wife and Mother in law, none of us finished our meal. I was charged £14 for a "large" haddock and chips. The fish was smaller than a normal fish supper, the chips came in a small wire basket and were obviously re-heats scraped from the bottom of the fryer. My wife had a char-grilled... More

Stopped off for lunch on the way further north. Restaurant was clean and not too busy. Service was good. Main courses could have been better, not sure what they were serving with the burger but it did not taste good. Fish and chips were OK. Dessert was crumble and cheese with biscuits. Crumble was excellent, not sure why the selection... More

On a plus side my puppy was allowed in. The food that we were served was some of the very worst food that we have ever tasted. I admit to being a picky vegetarian - but, my husband and daughter are largely easy going meat eaters - I have never seen my daughter leave food on her plate - well... More

On a long drive round Loch Lomond and decided to stop somewhere to grab a takeaway coffee. Went in to the bar and the woman seemed as though she was trying her absolute best not to serve me (ie looking for other jobs to do behind the bar other than actually dealing with customers). Eventually a man came over and... More

If your staying at the inn on the loch or are in the area please call in for a relaxed friendly meal and my suggestion would be the roast butternut . My husband isn't a bevy but even he said it was lush

I deliberately held off having fish & chips anywhere else on our trip around Scotland because I had read great things about this restaurants fish & chips. My mistake! The fish & chips were stunningly average. Also if you look at the hotel website the restaurant is called Mr. C's Fish and Whisky Restaurant and bar which "celebrates two things... More

I was first here a long time ago and the hotel holds a special place in the folklore of my mates and me, so I was quite looking forward to coming back and having a meal. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The food was poor. The 'breaded whole tail scampi' were obviously taken out of a bag from the freezer... More

Used to frequent when it was the Inn at Inverbeg. Returned with extended family for a birthday lunch and standards have slipped - a lot. Front of house staff were friendly and helpful at first but the kitchen served up burnt burgers, which at £14 a pop didn't merit half the price tag. Children's menu chicken was thick battered and... My partner and I have visited here for food several times over the last few years and we have always had a good meal and been keen to recommend it friends. We went tonight (2/7/16) and as much as the food was decent, not great, the service we received from who I believe to have been the manager (about 6ft... More
