I have been before and had a burger which was lovely. This time round we went for lunch and I ordered the hot sourdough baguette with Parma ham, mozzarella, tomato and basil filling. Since it did not say panini I assumed it would be what...it stated, a hot baguette and the filling - but no they cooked the Parma ham in there. Disgusting. Even the side salad is questionable. Staff looked like they couldn’t even be bothered being there. Disappointed this time round.More

We were lucky enough to get a table at 5pm on a Friday as it was very popular and busy and was full for the rest of the evening. We shared a great garlic bread to start, hot and delicious lasagna & side salad, goats...cheese & pesto pizza, followed by an excellent waffle with caramel sauce. Overall an excellent meal and very glad we managed to get a table.More

The place was very busy but that didn’t impact the service in anyway. We asked for a couple of starters to share between us and they were brought to the table already split on 2 different places which was a nice touch. The mains were...also great and good value for money.More

Visited with friends. Disappointed with the food and service. Food was bland and unforgettable. Service was slow. Would not recommend.

I Found this place quite by chance, and I am glad I did. Pleasant surroundings, very nice staff, excellent food and value for money. I went for the fixed three course early evening selection. The spicy sausage bruschetta was right up my street. Lasagne for...mains is always a fave of mine and the Eaton messy rounded it off well. Would highly recommend this place, a pity there isn't one 250 miles south near where I live.More

We booked at short notice on Sunday evening as a group of 9 and were thankfully accommodated. Service was friendly and faultless throughout. We all had starters, all of which were excellent. Most of us chose pasta dishes, with prawns being a favourite. My dish...was lovely and spicy and a very good portion size. I had a side salad which was a nice accompaniment to the pasta. The waiter made sure we had plenty of drinks and overall I think it was good value for moneyMore

Very disappointed with our visit. The quality of food and service was shocking. Tricolour salad - The tomato and mozzarella was really tasteless, with two minute drops of olive oil. The rocket on my partner’s starter was out of date and should never been put...in the plate. The Carbonara was so salty I could not finish it. The Cucina burger tasted quite unusual. We had a long wait before anyone came to take a drinks order and then our food and drinks order was taken together by an unfriendly rude older waitress. Not once were we checked on and asked if everything was ok with our food. There was a lot of staff on, so no excuses for the lack of care and attentiveness. The restaurant was not busy. The two young girls working were cheerful and polite though. When we left we overheard another table who left just after us that their food was bad too. Gave this place another go as we had a bad experience a few years back. Will not return unfortunately or recommend.More

Good food in a nice restaurant with nice waiters. We both had noodles with chicken which tasted awesome! The pizza from other guests look tasty but I can't judge on looks alone:)

This was our third visit to Luss, and the choice of restaurants is limited, so after a little bit of research we booked a table here for 7.30pm, Friday night. A quick taxi ride from our hotel, dropped off straight outside. We were greeted and...seated very quickly and given food and drinks menus. Drinks arrived quickly, soon followed by our food order being taken. The menu is huge with an excellent choice for both starters and mains! Plenty of choice for vegetarians too! We opted to share a starter, Meatballs! These were delicious! Wish we'd had a portion each they were so good! Mains we opted for a Farmhouse Pizza! Thin, crispy, perfectly cooked, plenty of topping, huge, but still managed to eat it all! And fillet Steak with chips, salad and peppercorn sauce. Steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty and tender! Sadly we had no room for desert! Every member of staff who attended to us were polite, friendly and very chatty! This really is a gem of a restaurant! Lovely atmosphere! Excellent food! Excellent service/ staff! We will definitely be eating here again on our next trip to Loch Lomond.More

Full on a Tuesday evening - always a good sign. Superbly cooked food, huge portions, great service and a reasonable price. Will definitely return as there was so much on the menu that looked great. The meatballs and Italian meat pizza were fantastic and so...tasty. Also had the Tri-colour salad, the mozzarella was divine. The lasagne was perfect. Then the bill and really great value for money, no wonder it was full. Thank goodness we were walking home - very full!More

Disappointed . Although a lovely sunny evening all outside seating had been packed away when we visited at 8pm? Young man who served us was attentive however felt some of the other staff were disinterested. Served bread and I think it was meant to be...a tapinade but the balsamic sat as a puddle in the middle of the oil and no matter how you tried to mix it it just didn't happen? We had the chicken pasta with rocket pesto and parmesan and it was unusual to say the least. The spaghetti was nicely cooked as was the chicken but far too salty. It didn't need more salt as was covered with shavings of parmesan cheese and the rocket, a lot of rocket was just placed on the top of the rest of the dish. Big portion size . Nice bottle of NZ sauvignon blanc but a bit pricey although was nicely chilled. All a bit strange? Decor wise was not very Italian and for us created the wrong type of atmosphereMore

We were in Balloch for a week and got takeaway from here the last day of our visit. All I can say is Wow…Massive portions, delicious food, very reasonable prices! The Caesar salad was perfectly dressed with homemade croutons. My mum-in-law opted to add chicken...and there was so much, she couldn't finish it! I had the penne arrabbiata with added cream and chicken. It was the most delicious pasta I have had in years. Perfect balance of spiciness, creaminess, and garlic. I had not eaten all day and had been out and about so was very hungry, but I also could not finish all of my food. The leftovers were just as good later though! The pizzas were great too with quality toppings. Please, do not hesitate to get a takeaway from here or even eat in. You will not regret it!More

Four of us called in to the cafe next door to the restaurant seeking a very late breakfast. In fact breakfast was no longer being served according to the menu. No problem at all! The waitress brought over an extra table so we would have...more room and said we could order anything we liked! So we ordered scrambled eggs on sourdough - beautifully creamy and very tasty - a full breakfast - quality ingredients well cooked - and a plate of waffles with fruit compote - attractively presented and delicious! But what made our visit special was the cheerful lovely waitress! Made all the difference to our experience so thank you!!More

It would depend on the time of day, I was there early evening and did not have to book but later may require a booking, best idea would be to phone and ask.

Hi, yes I recommend booking. At present we are a small restaurant with only 14 tables so we book out fast, especially at the weekends and Sunday is popular with families and friends. Hope to see you then. Many thanks, Jason... More
