We were invited to join friends for a Sunday Lunch at the lovely restaurant. Our friends live on Bute and it was their recommendation. The interior of the restaurant was very modern style but retained its ambience of being in the country with a very tastfully decorated interior which we were advised had been fully refurbished from several old buildings.... A friend and I enjoyed an afternoon here having a late lunch. Like another reviewer the experience was good- but could be so much better. Friendly service- but a little more training and sense of urgency would go a long way as would a uniform- how about a smart apron? I don't know when 'leggins' became acceptable wear for staff... The inn has a good mix of eating and drinking with locals and visitors, food portions were very generous and everything was very well cooked. Some good options for vegetarians and good fish. The on,y downside was the slowness of service but all food was freshly cooked and ambience was pleasant. Starter choice was great and each dish was lovely.

Popped in as we were passing for an afternoon pint. Comfy seating, quick service and one of the best pints of Marstons Pedigree I have ever had.

We ate here today for lunch . My husband and I chose a sandwich and baguette from the snack menu . The portions were small with a tiny little tomato and a few pea shoots as salad . My son asked for the nachos with chilli con carne on top - i.e. Chilli nachos . They mistakenly gave him nachos... More

We ate dinner at the Kingarth Hotel Restaurant and were very impressed. The meal was lovely and the welcome from the owner very warm indeed. We had our drink outside overlooking the bay - the view was amazing on a summer evening. Visiting Kingarth Hotel Restaurant was a very pleasant experience and we really recommend a visit

Dropped in for dinner after a recommendation by one of the Mount Stuart staff. Great food and great service. I had the fish and it was huge. Most filling.

Stopped off here for lunch on our drive around Bute and very glad we did. We both ordered a burgers which were delicious and came with great chunky chips and coleslaw. Would definitely come here again.
