We're here for a short holiday and by a very happy accident came upon this cafe. Tim & Ann are the nicest people you'll ever meet. Very welcoming and kind. If you are a Jazz lover, you HAVE to go here!! Tim is a passionate Jazz lover -& musician. If you're not really in to Jazz, but want to know... More

Just moved to Rothesay and this will be one of my regular stops. I had just a sausage slice roll and Coke but well served. Very friendly; had chat with the owners who were also chatting with other customers. Interesting menu which I will be working through. Nice atmosphere and very clean.

We found it by accident and were fascinated by this music themed cafe - sheet music and instruments on the walls. Excellent home made food. Friendly and welcoming owners involved in the local music scene. Felt at home and could have stayed for ages. A real delight in every way!

Looking for somewhere to eat, we found Brechin's. When we entered we were greeted like friends. The menu offered a good selection, it was difficult to select what to have, the selections we made were delicious. We returned twice more during our holiday, on the days we were in Rothesay. We also recommended it to other people staying in our... More

We just walked in late on a Saturday without a booking, no problem, a warm friendly welcome, four other couples eating so nothing to worry about, food was fantastic, we'll cooked and well presented, excellent service, reasonably priced, it was that good, we've booked for Sunday lunch, which is followed by live jazz, what's not to like, give it a... We did'nt really know what to expect from the Isle of Bute. When we first arrived everything was closed down and the rain was poring down. The next day we found this little pearl, arriving from Denmark and in need of fast Wi-Fi to work on, we really needed a quiet nice cosy place to get coffee and some food,... More

Hubby and I have eaten and coffeed at Brechins a number of times over the past three years. In fact we wouldn't visit Rothesay without popping in for a snack or lunch. The welcome is warm and personal - how Tim Saul remembers everyone I don't know. The food is delicious and always made fresh to order, and you are... More
