Just the place for a break on the rather punishing 78 cycle route. But it is only open Thursday to Sunday, so hard luck if you are thirsty early in the week!

Although I've no authority to say so other than having eaten it, I would say that this new cake is award-winning! The combination of lightness and moistness in especially rare in a gluten-free cake. Well worth a visit just to try this (let alone the scones)!

This tearoom is fantastic. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and Mairead's home backing is fantastic. My partner and I dropped in for Tea and Cake on Easter Sunday. Brilliant. The scone's were gorgeous, and the new cinnamon and pecan butter is excellent. Looking forward to returning soon, and having some of my favourite... More

The toasties are delicious. Would recommend the banana/cinnamon or haggis toastie. The scones are fab. Service is always good.

Whenever we visit the highlands we look forward to coming here, their scones cakes sandwiches etc ,always good, watched a couple the other day scraping their plates they had enjoyed the scones so much, love the conviviality of Robins Nest the super accents and the different nationalities visiting ,all make for a unique place, hope the staff enjoy their holidays.

We nearly missed this gem and we headed to Oban. At Taynuilt don't forget to turn into the town. The friendly reception and excellent food made our day! Not to mention the coffee! Will not pass by again without stopping off here.

Visited this lovely little tearoom whilst holidaying in Oban. It was empty when we arrived but very soon was full of both locals and visitors. We had coffees and toasties and they were delicious. The service was quick. The place spotless. Fresh flowers in the ladies toilet a nice touch! Will certainly return when next in the area.

This restaurant is in the village near the railway station on Main street. A great place to stop for a light meal, or just tea & cake. We visited Robins Nest a couple of times in our brief stay in Taynuilt, and took in the excellent Highland Games there. Open 7 days a week - 10am to 5pm.

I come to Taynuilt every year to visit my grand mother and without fail a trip to the Robin's Nest is made. The ladies are so polite and I had a great cinnamon and fruit scone with jam and clotted cream. At the moment they have some local artists' artwork up on the walls and for sale. Great talent exhibited... More

This is a lovely small tearoom offering homemade soups, sandwiches and cakes. The toasted sandwichs are made with fair sized slices of bread giving a very heart lunch. The homemade scones with jam and clotted cream are a must (especially if they are treacle). Well worth a visit if you are passing.
