We stopped off at the Tayvallich Inn for lunch on our easter break and were not disappointed, great, fresh food and a warm welcome, bit out of the way for us to be regular visitors, however, if back in the area, we will be sure to eat there again

Our family of six visited the Tayvallich Inn twice, once for a drink and once for a meal. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. What really made it though was the friendly staff and locals who were full of advice about the area. A good night each time.

Had a lovely meal in the Inn, service was prompt and friendly and the food was great. Had scallops as a starter and steak as a main - all cooked very well. House wine was good quality and reasonably priced. Mix of families, couples and locals at the bar made for a good atmosphere. And to top it off the... More

Just dropped in for a drink but were made to feel very welcome by pleasant staff. The Inn has an outdoor seating area; excellent in good weather and let's you get the most from the lovely view across the bay. Various crafts, of all sizes, use this small harbour so it's an ideal place to watch the world go by... More

The location is stunning, the atmosphere is very welcoming, the food is delicious and the owners and staff are fun. My wife has a gluten allergy and although they can't guarantee 100% they did work hard to ensure it was safe for her to eat. Although we didn't arrive on music night we heard from several repeat customers that its... More

What a nice surprise this place was. They had a typical Scottish/seafood menu, but with an....well, asian flare. I had hot smoked salmon, smoked cheddar cakes served with pea shoots and sweet chili sauce. So good! For my meal I had mussels that were cooked perfectly and so well flavored.

Visited recently for dinner with my family. Staff are very friendly, food was lovely. Would say food is a little pricey for bar meals but worth it as fish is freshly caught. Nice atmosphere.

Description
Situated in the picturesque village of Tayvallich on the shores of Loch Sween, the Inn overlooks the beautiful natural harbour of Tayvallich bay. At the heart of this small and vibrant community, the Tayvallich Inn has always been a popular meeting place for sailors, holidaymakers, more recently kayakers and all who enjoy our warm hospitality and good food. Established over 30 years ago, the Tayvallich Inn specialises in fresh, locally caught seafood, much of which is landed on our doorstep from the cold, pristine waters of the sound of Jura. Along with seafood we serve other fresh produce, sourcing locally where ever possible.
