Visited The Tayvallich Inn on the final day of our holiday along with five family members. We all made different choices from the extensive menu and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service extremely fast and efficient. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Visited several time during our holiday in the area. We came into the village by boat and the pub is only a few minutes walk from the visitors' pontoon. You can drive to the village. The single track road is quite winding but there are plenty of passing places and the views are beautiful. The main menu has a good... More

I ate here twice on the same day in July while walking the coast, once for a light lunch and once for a pre-booked dinner in the restaurant in the evening. For lunch I wanted something light and so I had fish soup with malted bread, followed by profiteroles for pudding. The fish soup was outstanding. One of the best... More

Visited on a 'wet Sunday summers afternoon' storm warning in force later on in the day. It was very busy so we were put in the annex next door , our choice we could have waited? Service was friendly , beer was well maintained , good food , loved the burgers and curry , the scallops and salmon were also... More

Don't get me wrong here though. If you are here you are at least 10 miles from the nearest eatery so you are pretty much stuck. But as a place to be stuck with its not at all bad. We ate twice here during the week and both times were really satisfactory. The cottage pie was really nice, as were... More

A varied menu with something to suit all tastes. A good selection of local fish/seafood dishes, especially scallops. Food was a very good no matter what was ordered. Excellent puddings and a small, but nice wine list.

Very good place, inside and out with excellent service and welcome. Good for all ages and needs. Only one gripe. Wifi is not turned on until 10pm and this is a weird restriction - change that and bingo!

Situated in the picturesque village of Tayvallich on the shores of Loch Sween, the Inn overlooks the beautiful natural harbour of Tayvallich bay. At the heart of this small and vibrant community, the Tayvallich Inn has always been a popular meeting place for sailors, holidaymakers, more recently kayakers and all who enjoy our warm hospitality and good food. Established over 30 years ago, the Tayvallich Inn specialises in fresh, locally caught seafood, much of which is landed on our doorstep from the cold, pristine waters of the sound of Jura. Along with seafood we serve other fresh produce, sourcing locally where ever possible.
