We came on Thursday night around 6pm before an event at Bethel University. We had a tight window and were hoping to get out in 45 minutes to get to our event. They didn’t look that busy so we thought it would work out fine....The first ‘off’ thing that happened was our salsa was delivered to the table ice cold. As in, it was literally a block of ice. Turned the container upside down to pour, and nothing. Stuck a knife in it...hard as a rock, tomato ice cube. Strange. They brought us a new one and we ordered right away. Carne Asada and Vallarta nachos. Within 10 minutes the carne asada arrived. A huge plate of food, easily enough for two people. I told my wife and daughter to go ahead and start eating, that my nachos would be right behind I was sure. And then I waited. It was at least 10 minutes before I could flag down our busy waitress and asked where they were. She then asked me which meat I wanted on them. ‘Uh, have they not prepared them yet?’ I asked. ‘Oh no, they are on their way.’ was her reply. Hmmm. No kidding, It was another 15 minutes and still no nachos. By this time, my wife and daughter had totally devoured their plate and said it was delicious. I finally just told our waitress to make mine ‘to go’ and asked to pay the bill since we had to make our event. There was no ‘sorry, let me take this off the bill for you’, nothing. It was 6:45 when we left. I was standing up to leave, fully prepared to leave with no food, when it finally came packaged to go. Disappointed is just one of the words to describe this experience. I will say that once I got to eat it that it was tasty, but it would have been better an hour earlier on a real plate, eaten with the rest of my family. I wish I could say we would return, but this one experience will lead us to try something else the next time we are in the area.More

The service is usually always great and I have never had a problem with the food! And you can not beat the prices!

Convenient location, good for large groups. No liquor. Fast service. Not very friendly waiters though.

The staff was friendly and very accommodating for our large group. The dining area was clean. They had a variety of dishes.

No matter what time we arrive, the people at El Vallarta are always waiting with a smile on their face to seat you as soon as possible. The food is exceptional, always what we expected and more. Don't think we have ever left hungry, usually...don't have room for dessert. Of course, we have been dining there for 13 years, at the 1st location and then now to the new one.More

Good Mexican food is now common in many towns, but this place SHINES on the service side. The facility is top notch and the food is really good, but the service sets them apart. This staff hustles and looks like they are having fun doing...it. Only complaint is too much food! I will be back.More

Food was good, I had the enchilada supreme platter. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They do need to replace almost all of the seating covers, almost every booth seat was worn through and had stuffing coming out of it. The windows have decorative...metal scroll work on the outside, and they apparently think that means you don't have to clean them, that was not very appetizing.More
