Ate in this restaurant as one of the few places open but while décor etc is a little dated the food, while average, was well presented and the staff were most welcoming. Just ate in the bar but had breakfast in the restaurant and again clean and lovely staff and freshly cooked local food - what is not to like

I always enjoy visits to this restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and the service is excellent. It was lovely to see a wide selection of locally sourced foods on the menu, such as haggis and black pudding. The haggis starter was very light and not too peppery, as haggis can sometimes taste. The seafood linguine was delicious and I... More

Went on a Sunday as was one of the few places open. We were sat in the bar, service was good without being great, both had sandwiches, which again were good without being great.

Good menu, prepared and served well. Dining room is a little dated. Not top class but then again sensibly priced.

We called in between lunch and dinner hours but were offered soup and toasties. The summer vegetable soup was delicious and the toasted ciabattas with salad were tasty and served nicely. Tea and coffee was served in lovely silver pots . The staff were friendly and attentive. To top it off had a Harris gin from the bar. Would definitely... More

Stopped here for Sunday breakfast. 7.95 for continental and full Scottish. Absolutely delicious. Good wifi connection. Also listening to table of 4 next all their breakfasts were delicious also. Didn't stay so cannot comment on rooms.

Didn't have a good experience at all for a meal my partner and I had here. We had to wait 20 minutes after the time of our booking to enter the dining room where only 3 other tables were full. I overheard other people complaining about the food and drink before we had even received ours which made us even... More

We spent a lovely relaxing week on the island (slightly longer than planned due to storm Abigail stopping the boats) I'd never tried Haggis before, I'd always imagined it to be slimy due to its ingredients but I thought I'd try it and was blown away! It's a beautifully tasty, not at all slimy, grainy beef kind of flavour and... More

Great service and a good competent menu. In particular the snails I had as a starter were exceptional
