After a poor lunch in Tarbert, I stopped into the tea room for a slice of cake. After a delightful welcome from a strong Glaswegian accent, we were offered multiple cakes. I had a coffee cake and pot of tea. The tea room was full. After the cake was served, I could see why. Really enjoyed my stop here and... More

Our group of three called in en route cycling the Hebridean Cycle Way. There were more staff than customers when we entered and we thought we'd just stay for a coffee but couldn't resist the idea of a full Scottish breakfast to fuel the miles to Stornaway. Breakfast did not disappoint - perfectly cooked - especially the black pudding! accompanied... More

Return visit to Harris and return visits to the tearoom. A joy to visit Stevie and his family again. Service is great, food is great and the banter even better. Despite being very busy you are made to feel welcome. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

This is a must if you are going through Tarbert! Service is excellent, food is just delicious! It's a warm, cosy and friendly wee Cafe. It's child friendly, couple friendly, motor bikers friendly and cycle friendly. Would love to post a picture but it's got my husband right in the middle!

Friday the 15th July. My journey home after a wild night at the campsite . Popped into the tearoom and met by a hearty welcome from the person I believe to be the owner . I'm one of the biggest food critics on restaurants and cafes and found my experience here amazing just listening to the chat and greetings that... More

Sometimes you discover a gem and wonder why nobody told you about it. This was my experience here. The food is standard cafe fare, done well. The service is basic waiter service, done well. The boss is a very personable Central Belter with the accent on belter - what a great personality, and what a hard worker. The atmosphere is... More

Popped in to Tarbert on way back from Luskentyre with 2 kids and dog in tow and spotted this wee cafe with seating outside. Went in to order and were given menus, brilliant choice of cakes and didn't know where to start! Decided on lemon meringue muffin, hubby had chocolate crunch and both had tea, daughter had carrot cake and... More
