We both had the lovely goats cheese salad. If you can't eat gluten warn them, as it came with some lovely looking bread that we couldn't eat. Ordered a side of chips, which was very nice. There's a lovely view from this cafe. The staff are nice and friendly.

Lovely lunch. Panni and Cullen Skink soup. Nice presentation, good food. It's not obvious from looking at the surrounding boards they offer pannis as its meals written on the board. Diners were eating burgers and full meals. Snacks are available. It's table service. It's in a community hall. Bright and clean. A bit clinical and sparse. However the views are... More

An excellent event organised by the local community with a voluntarily contributed buffet available for all the residents in attendance with accompanying raffle. A coming together of all generations in order to support local community which was friendly and fun, with the help of warm and friendly staff in a welcoming surrounding & atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Had lunch and dinner in this when out walking with my daughter on Skye. A little unsure what to expect as never used a community based restaurant before but both meals were nicely served with local staff who were clearly happy to speak about their venture but also to recommend ( or not recommend) other places - it was refreshing... Ate here for dinner as it was near my B&B. Initially thought that we would have to drive all the way to Portree for dinner, but that was clearly not the case. The food and service were both excellent and the restaurant had great views to the Quairang and Staffin bay as well. The place also filled up pretty quickly!... More

The soup and sandwich deal works well and I selected the cullen skink soup which was really tasty. Coffee was also good.

The best food we had in about a week. Delicious food, friendly staff and stunning views. We sat outside in the summer and it was beautiful. The food and wine came quickly and were delicious and we loved the charity behind the restaurant!

Columbia 1400 looked a bit up market which, as I'm always on a tight budget, would normally put me off looking in, especially when there are an another couple of cafés in staffin which are also worth visiting, but glad I did, it's bright, fresh, the uniformed staff are attentive, the window seats have great views but best of all... Eating places are few and far between in this area so Columba 1400 is a must. The restaurant is very pleasant with helpful staff and the food is excellent - I actually suggested that they didn't charge enough! Definitely worth a visit.
