We are regular visitors to Aros. It has definitely gone downhill in the last year or two. The toilets are in need of refubishment, particularly the floorcovering. There was rainwater leaking through a light fitting in the shop - and obviously had been for some time. The shop in general seems to have gone downmarket. Our toasted sandwiches were made... More

Meals are generally of a good standard, however table service was a bit tardy as we experienced today. Perhaps they had a staff shortage but to see people who'd arrived after us receiving counter service for tea/cakes before our table service was irritating. The upside was a fine day and stunning view over Portree Bay.

Picked up a takeaway ham sandwich here. Very cheap, but lots of ham on, and wrapped in foil. There was an incredibly thick spread on the bread (no idea what it was). Didn't finish the sandwich, and had a dodgy stomach for the rest of the day. Think it was just due to the gunky thick spread. Such a shame,... More

We only had coffee and scones here butt he scones were a good size, had a great taste but were a little on the heavy side, they came with plenty of butter and jam. The coffee was good quality and the surroundings were nice enough although it had the feel of a transport café. The shop is strange, there's some... More

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. The food was okay, typical fast food but it was what we were looking for. The gift shop is large and nice selection. Prices were good considering we found that travelling in Scotland can be very expensive. The highlight for me was the large parking lot because parking most places in Scotland... More

Ordered drinks and cakes. All were left on the table with a "there you go". It wasn't as if the staff were rushed off their feet, the place was half empty. Anyway, we wish we'd left the cakes there. Crispie cake, millionaire shortbread and peppermint slice as dry as you could get. The smoothie wasn't worth £4. Far better elsewhere... More
