This is a beautiful restaurant. Very good service. The food is very interesting with the option of a tasting menu.

We are real foodies, so booked this months in advance as we had heard great things. I really disagree with many of the negative comments - we went for dinner (tasting and wine flight) and the food was out of this world. Unbelievably fresh fish,...More

Three Chimneys works hard to bring fine dining to the edge of Skye, and mostly succeeds. The presentation and service certainly meet the standards of fine dining, and the food almost gets there. Well worth the trip, but the food is not quite up to...More

Our dinner here was a real treat. We started with fresh oysters that were the best we had ever tasted. The rest of our meal was equally impressive. The service was exceptional, and we appreciated the attention to detail.

Where do I begin? The fabulous scenery, the warm and friendly welcome, the spectacular food, the helpful and attentive wait staff, the fact our daughter was seen as a gorgeous added extra and not a hindrance - despite her needing a full change of clothes...More

Incredible. Each dish, each ingredient, meticulously worked. Every mouthful a delight. Not sure I’ve had better in Scotland.

The tasting menu was SO disappointing. I was expecting an inspirational culinary expression of the fresh products available on Skye. Instead I experienced a monotonous & unmemorable fusion of bland flavours, none of which lingered long enough to warrant reflection on the short drive to...More

We are extremely sorry you left The Three Chimneys feeling so let-down. this is as disappointing for us as it obviously was for you. Our lunchtime Skye Land and Sea Tasting Menu has been so popular, with every dish based upon fresh fish and shellfish....More

Excellent food on the Land and Sea menu. Most I have ever spent! service top class. Lots of busy staff but never intrusive. Hard to believe such an excellent restaurant can be found in such a remote and beautiful place.

I would recommend dinner - the tasting menu was amazing. Obviously lunch is a lot less expensive but you may only go once !

Description
The Three Chimneys Restaurant is one of Scotland's most iconic restaurants, set in a stunning location beside the sea in the north west corner of the Isle of Skye. Colbost is situated on the shores of Loch Dunvegan, a wide sea loch that opens into The Minch, the narrow stretch of sea between Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The views are stunning whatever the time of year. The Three Chimneys is famous for specialising in the freshest local produce including wonderful seafood from the immediate coastal waters. The restaurant is owned by husband and wife, Eddie and Shirley Spear. The couple bought the traditional stone-walled croft house in 1984 and developed the business into what it is today, with an amazing worldwide reputation. The Three Chimneys has won countless awards and accolades. Head Chef, Scott Davies and his Brigade of young chefs are passionate about preparing and cooking the finest local ingredients. Waitrose Good Food Guide UK Restaurant of the Year 2018.
