Only had lunch here but had a fishy tapas with two large glasses of wine sitting in the sun with the view over the harbour. Then had a scottish cheese board. Couldn't really be beaten in any way. A wonderful way to while away time....

We sailed into Tobermory on recommendation, and didn't fancy cooking on board so we decided to check out Cafe Fish. It was quite late (20:45) and we did not book a table. Thankfully the staff were welcoming (even if the kitchen was going to close in 15 mins!) and sat us on a corner overlooking the harbour. We ordered the... More

Small and very busy venue, do book in advance as otherwise you may only get an early or late sitting. The menu changes daily based on the catch and the menu is interesting and diverse. Staff are friendly and you can also buy daily catch to go as well. They also sell cafe fish shirts and aprons. The food was... More

Excellent selection of fresh, local sea food. We had a hot shellfish sharing platter which included prawns, crab, squat lobster, mussels and was a healthy portion for two people. This was not a cheap meal but when you add in the quality of the food, the surroundings (right on the seafront) and the excellent service, it worked out as reasonable... More

We followed Trip Advisor recommendations and certainly weren't disappointed by Cafe Fish which it located on the upper floor of a local landmark building that was formerly the Harbour Master's offices. You will be spoilt for choice on a wonderful menu of freshly caught seafood including at six on the 'daily specials board'. We had heard that evening booking was... More

Had an evening meal at Cafe Fish and enjoyed some of the freshest fish and seafood I have ever tasted! Not sure my wife was impressed by my choice of live oysters - but they were out of this world. The only advice I would give is book well in advance. Best meal of our three week summer holiday by... More

The meal was fabulous, with more than fish and chips or mussels on the menu. The restaurant is small but we got there not long after lunch was being served. The menu was more varied. There was a short wait as the meal was being prepared but it was worth it. On dry days, there were further tables outside. Dinner... More

Third trip to this restaurant and again nothing disappointed. Fish pie hot and delicious, peat smoked trout stuffed with queenie scallops to die for and the Monkfish curry....yum! The picpoul de pinet washed it all down beautifully! Love this restaurant, one of my all time favourites.

Located right at the end of Tobermory Main Street (near the ferry) is the small sea food restaurant. There is nothing fancy about it apart from the food with a array of locally caught sea food. I had a dozen oysters followed by scallop ceviche washed down by a Bloody Mary - all excellent. The menu includes a hot and... More

From starter to dessert, everybody thoroughly enjoyed their tasty and very well presented meals. Everything seems fresh and freshly prepared, the waiting staff is very friendly without being intrusive, and very nice to look at too. The place itself is a bit quirky, used to be the old ferry ticket office, with a tiny kitchen that makes you marvel how... More

Description
This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide recognition as one of the best and most exciting places to eat in Scotland.
With a superb location & stunning sea views on the upper floor of the Calmac building on Tobermory pier, and their own fishing boat landing fresh local shellfish - its an experience not to be missed. Just turn up unannounced for lunch, but book in advance for dinner. Lots on offer for non fish eaters too.
