Catching up on a visit in July. This is Fine Dining in the sense of excellent sea food and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere as opposed to the stuffy formalities associated with classic food. Forget camp waiters in suits two sizes too small, think of enthusiastic and knowledgeable young serving staff in jeans and in one case, an Eastern European in... More

We had an amazing evening meal and the choice was almost impossible. Helpful staff and if you are visiting the Island then a booking is to be suggested.

Great food in a wonderful setting. The staff are very attentive and the seafood is out of this world! If you are looking for a great way to finish your holiday on Mull this is the place to go. You do need to book early because it is a small restaurant which gets very busy because of it reputation!

We had a gorgeous lunch here. Lovely rose wine. Granted it was beautiful and sunny. But best of all were the mussels, probably the best we've ever tasted and harvested just a few miles away. This place is just superb and you can take a dog along if you sit outside.

Lovely setting, freshest beautifully cooked seafood, much from their own fishing boat, cheerful attentive staff. A great evening for our party of five.

This was a lovely experience - the service was very good. My friend is GF and at first we didn't think the restaurant quite got that we couldn't have bread etc. but then the Chef himself came out and checked if he could adapt the main course specially! Personal touch important. Nice atmosphere - will return for sure when back... More

My buddies and I traveled the highlands and the western isles for a little over a week and no other food joint held a candle to Cafe Fish. I had the Fish Pie and the Moules Marinere and, I gotta say, those were the best damn mussels I've ever had in my life. And that is not something to be... More

Locals told us this was THE place to go and luckily a late cancellation let us in for dinner. The langoustines and fish cake starters were spot on, fresh, well cooked and well presented. Mains of Haddock and monkfish were equally satisfying. The ambience was lively and fun-filled; service was attentive without being cloying. The wine aaas well chilled. In... More

We had a fantastic lunch here and were lucky to catch it just before it closed for the winter. Everything was perfect from friendly staff to great decor (even toilets). Fab food -oysters, seafood soup and fish finger sandwich. Will definitely come back another time for dinner.

Fresh catch (they have their own fishing boat) served daily, very nicely prepared and presented. Service is friendly and efficient. Its a small restaurant, and fills quickly in the evening, so best to make reservations a day ahead (its one of the most popular places in town)

Description
This small inauspicious fish restaurant is fast gaining nationwide recognition as one of the best and most exciting places to eat in Scotland.
With a superb location & stunning sea views on the upper floor of the Calmac building on Tobermory pier, and their own fishing boat landing fresh local shellfish - its an experience not to be missed. Just turn up unannounced for lunch, but book in advance for dinner. Lots on offer for non fish eaters too.
