We rented a house for a week at the edge of Dervaig and were very pleased to find that this local pub/hotel in the village was within walking distance and served up very good food. The other option, Am Birlinn which gets good reviews on TA, is actually a couple of miles from the village although they do provide courtesy... More

We popped in last minute. 4 adults and 2 Children. We were told that they have no room in the restaurant but would fit us in the bar area. The young ladie was very helpful and chatty. The food was lovely couldn't of asked for more. Well cooked and enjoyed by all. We will be back. My only thing that... More

Didn't book but managed to get seated in the bar area which was fine. Lovely food although perhaps a little on the pricey side. Was very busy but service was still prompt enough. Would love to return and take our time to enjoy. Unfortunately with 2 young kids, this is not always possible...!

We booked a table in the small restaurant. Service fine, choice adequate food tasty, only holiday makers although outside there was a covered area presumably for smokers / locals who could get drinks from the bar and this seemed to be popular

Came on a busy night, food took a good period of time to come out, and what we received was not worth the wait the fish was dry and over cooked, no seasoning was very bland dessert were ok. Starters were to big, to much salad and not dressed enough, had a metallic taste, a real shame scince we came... More

Starters were too large but mainly composed of over large quantities of salad leaves etc. Main course large but very little taste. Overall, very disappointing. Craft beers were good with good selection but pricing a wee bit high. On a Saturday night the locals have a sing-song which gets a wee bit more raucus as the evening progresses. Lucky we... More

The Bellachroy is not only an excellent hotel, ideally suited for exploring the beautiful island of Mull, but is also an outstanding restaurant. Even with a recent change of chef, the quality and choice of the food is still a first rate option for those looking to eat out - advisable to plan ahead and book, although speculative requests for... The food was very ordinary, except for the crab bisque starter which was good. Puffin beer was nice but a bit dear at £4-10 for a pint. The Eton Mess was disappointing with far too much cream and not much else.

A little disappointing as it used to be fantastic. Feel that the new owner is trying to be too upmarket rather than aiming for quality standard meals.

Not a lot of places to eat out in Dervaig so we booked a table at the Bellachroy on the first night of our stay at a nearby B&B. We were told the only available tables in the restaurant were at six or eight o'clock. We opted for 6 o'clock. By 6.45 when we had finished our meal only one... More
