We twice visited the Harbour Inn for lunch whilst touring on Islay and both times we were very impressed by the range of food offered on the menu and the quality of the food served. Add to all this the vista from the restaurant windows across the bay and you have a lovely lunch venue.

We popped in in the off chance for lunch and were made very welcome. With a harbour view table in an elegantly designed dining area we were given time to choose from a comprehensive set lunch menu . The food was freshly prepared and well presented . Our choice of oysters , seafood platter and homemade burger was very tasty... More

It seems to be mainly an eating place. On a Friday night the bar was empty apart from the four of us. So it had little atmosphere just an old fashioned interior. I wouldn't bother returning but you may love it ~ it's good to have a choice.

We had a lovely meal and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant looks out over the water. It is our families favourite restaurant on the island, but the menu has the same favourites on and is rarely altered which is a shame as the standard is excellent.

I have given the Harbour Inn’s management of the Bowmore Cottages a very well deserved five stars. Sadly everything they get right in the Cottages is NOT reflected in the restaurant at the Inn. The abiding impression from their cottages and Taste café is class .In the restaurant in the Inn it’s simply pretension. This was our Silver Wedding anniversary... More

We booked a table for our visit to Islay. The Inn was perfectly positioned and had lovely views of the harbour. I had the soup to start followed by fish and fries which was nice. My hubby had Anti Pasto and then chicken which he enjoyed. We finished with the cheesecake which was stunning. The food was excellent, the service... More

When you first walk into the airy dining room at the Harbor Inn's restaurant, you will be struck by the lovely view of the harbor from the wall-sized windows. The staff were attentive and friendly, knowledgeable about the menu. My husband and I shared the hot-smoked salmon starter, which was generously portioned and served with a beautiful garnish of seasonal... More

This was the first place we ate at when we arrived in Bowmore, great views from the restaurant, very friendly service. Good food. They have a snug bar which is very pleasant as well.

Harbour Inn what a lovely and friendly pub. Lovely food and view from the ouside area. A lovely place to have a drink while waiting for the ferry to Jura. The staff are all friendly and helpful as we missed our ferry to Jura but no better place to chill and wait for the next.
