Myself and another 6 family members took a drive through to kippen for a Father's Day lunch on arrival we he'd two choices the inn at kippen or the cross keys, the inn at kipper looked far to busy so we opted for cross keys after reading reviews and them looking satisfying, on arrival we looked around for a table... Popped in on the off chance as we were in the area for a wedding. Great welcome and lovely pub with a very impressive menu. Jessie a chocolate Lab complete with wavy coat came up to greet us as we were encouraged to go upstairs to the lovely open fire. Food was very very good we had lamb and mozzarella... More

I stay in Kippen regularly as my son lives here with his mother. I decided that a wee something special was in order as I hadn't seen him for a few weeks so we walked to the pub for dinner. One piece of loveliness, is they always have the majority of the waiting staff being locals, mainly 5th and 6th... More

At lunchtime we were greeted by friendly dog who roamed around the tables. Young lady was also behind bar. Welcome open fire, but as outside door left open to back area the seating area was very chilly away from the fire. Only three of us in when order taken by young friendly lady at 12.30pm. Waited thirty five minutes for... More

You really can't go wrong at the Cross Keys in Kippen. The menu has a few excellent pub grub standards like stovies, or bangers and mash ( courtesy of the village butcher) and more gastronomic delights such as lamb tagine, slow roasted Ayrshire pork belly or braised LX-cheek with horseradish mash. This time I decided to try out the steak... More

Very relaxing double room. Cozy bar/restaurant with a great buzz and warming log fires. Fantastic, high quality and very tasty food served by friendly staff and a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back.

This was my first visit and have to say 'what a find'. A busy lunchtime when we arrived so had to wait a while for our meal to be served but must say it was well worth the wait! The food was simply sublime! It will now become a regular stop-off when in the area, and I can highly recommend... More

We escaped the madding crowds of Stirling the week before Christmas. We found the Cross Keys, Kippen, an old fashioned, no-nonsense pub with a real fire, and o fuss seating. The menu was plain and simple but the food was home cooked, no, really, it was actually cooked in the kitchen, not unwrapped and reheated. Even the chips were from,... More
