We'd definitely recommend the Chicken Liver Pate. Steak and Ale pie/Chicken and Haggis was super, meat was tasty and tender. Vegetables and chips were very good too. Great service.

ventured into the Elphinstone Hotel after the local Covid-19 restrictions had been lifted, I was a little nervous about bringing my children into a restaurant after such a long period of time in lockdown, I didn’t have to worry! There was social distancing between tables,...all touch points were being cleaned regularly, all staff wearing face coverings and hand sanitiser stations throughout the restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and always kept their distance. The food was delicious! There was a varied selection on the menu, and everything that came out the kitchen I wanted to try! My children had a children’s meal each which was a generous portion and they loved the puzzles given to them upon arrival! Thank you to all the staff at the Elphinstone hotel for making our first venture out so positive! We will absolutely be back soon!More

The food was great and the service was excellent. At present, owing to the coronavirus, the hotel offers only takeaway food. I have reveiewed it under the hotel listing rather than under the restaurant, sorry.

We tried out the new takeaway service to celebrate my mum's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! A great way to enjoy some freshly cooked and tasty food without having to cook dinner, whilst ensuring we're also doing our best to do some social distancing....We had a variety of different meals and everyone enjoyed them, and very nice that we could enjoy a bottle of wine as well as part of the takeaway service. A great new service - well done Robert and team!More
