Fresh, hot, delicious

I had all but given up on finding a Chinese restaurant near my home since the two closest to me offered expensive food and unfriendly service. Fortunately, my husband did a web search and found China House. The young woman who took our order was helpful by describing the dishes and sauces. We ate at the restaurant and could hear the food cooking as they prepared it. It arrived piping hot and was delicious. I had the garlic shrimp, my husband opted for General Tso's Chicken, and we were both delighted with the meal. The combination plates come with fried or white rice (it's nice having a choice) and an eggroll. The drinks - soda and water - came with the meal. A great experience that will have us returning to China House.

Fantastic carry-out

This is a very friendly, family owned restaurant. Each meal is cooked individually at time of order and ready very quickly. Great carry-out option!

General TSO not good

Ordered two plates of General TSO and fried rice for dinner after a long day of work. Both meals had a very weird aftertaste. I couldn’t tell if it was freezer burn taste or a broccoli flavor in the sauce. It didn’t taste or look like General TSO. We ate a few bites each before trashing it. Hope we do not get sick! The egg roll was good. Hate we wasted $22. I came on a friend’s recommendation and will not be back. I wanted to love it and drove far out of my way to try it. Very unfortunate..

Best Chinese in Maryville

They are quick and always friendly. Best for takeout, since there is not really anywhere to eat there other than a couple tables. Our favorite place to get Chinese takeout!

Very good Chinese!

Small restaurant but very good food. Big proportions. Called the order in and went to pick it up. Took 15 minutes. Very fast. No errors. Great food.

This is the best Chinese we have ever eaten. Portions are heaping and the flavor is out of this world. Definitely recommend!

First time, Monday late afternoon. Placed order by phone, sweet and sour shrimp, vegetable fried rice. Ready in ten minutes. When I walked in the smells were very encouraging, fresh fried food. When we opened the cartons, we were impressed by the freshness of the shrimp and the large amount of vegetables in the fried rice. The restaurant has very limited seating, so takeout is the best option.

Mom and Pop Chinese Food

From the outside view and inside it's not a whole lot to look at but the food is pretty good for a local Chinese place. There aren't many options in this area so it's better than most. The Happy Family is my favorite and is worth the few extra $$ to have a variety of meat with vegetables. I strongly recommend to give them a try. I managed a Chinese restaurant for years and this food is pretty good for American Chinese.

Very good food and quick service!

I work need here and am alway able to jump in and get great General Tso chicken. I have been here so much that my wife now comes here just to see why I came so often, she low loves their Kung Pao. Family ran too, can't beat a family shop.

I made a bad choice

I usually go to Oriental Cuisine in west Maryville, but chose this place today on a snowy day. The hot n sour soup was tasteless and the lo mein vegetable noodles were terrible. One and done for me. I will not be back.

New York style Chinese food...fresh and delicious

This is a tiny place in a strip mall...run by a husband and wife who barely speak English. They are living the American dream and they work hard to make it happen. Usually the kids are there with them...it is a charming situation. This is like all the Chinese places we have all eaten at but these people make it all by hand. It is all carefully prepared and it shows when you get some of the classics like Won-Ton soup. The Won-Tons are as big as billiard balls and the broth is so flavorful. Their egg-rolls are hot and full of fillings. You will see that the vegetables in the entrees are chopped big and bold. The sauces are all "right there"...very, very good. They also keep the place spotless. I have no concerns about eating anything they make. They have a few tables but most customers get carry-out...we usually do. Their prices are very favorable. The meals are so large they feed 2 easily. Give them a try and help them to realize the American Dream...hard working people with a drive to succeed.
