A great wee place where the food is the star. We went on Sunday lunchtime and we're given a table for two. With a good menu with plenty of choices and attentive staff, this place is definitely a winner. We had goats cheese and the soup for starters and the seafood grill and triple pork plate for mains. It was... More

I visited the Minishant Inn on the strength of its reviews here on Tripadvisor. I was not disappointed. The staff were very helpful and accommodating upon my arrival and were quick to present the menu and take the drinks order. I had Lentil soup as a starter which was awesome and really hit the spot followed by Macaroni which was... More

This is a great find on the inland road (A77) between Ayr and Turnberry. The service is friendly, the food is brilliant with the choice, quality and price. I highly recommend the steak pie! Our girls (10 and 7) can be fussy but both enjoyed their meals. Highly recommended 😊

The guys that were serving were great and worked hard and were very attentive, smiling and helpful Apart from the hiccup over my drink which was actually very funny the food and service were just brilliant. The food was tasty, presented perfectly and we did not come away with the feeling "we could have done better at home". Just a... More

Pleasant staff, busy roadside location, good value and excellent food. Rather than "enjoying" burgers, hotdogs and assorted junk on offer at the annual Ayr flower show we drove the short distance here on the strength of its trip-advisor rating. Generous portions in the salmon and prawn salad were matched in the poached salmon main. Beautiful presentation of all the dishes... More

I have been meaning to write this review for sometime. I live abroad and on my way back to Prestwick airport I have stopped on two occasions at this restaurant. My family had recommended it to me and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The staff were professional and friendly and although the service was somewhat... More

My husband and I came here today (July 31) for Sunday lunch. My husband was looking forward to the Sunday roast beef, which is the best in Ayr. They'd had a minor disaster this morning, and the Sunday roast was not nearly ready . My husband chose instead the trio of meats. He said that it was one of the... More

Had dinner in here with a party of 9. Menu had a good variety to suit most tastes and staff were friendly and efficient. Drinks order was taken and arrived very quickly. It took almost an hour though to get the starters after ordering the meal,it was along time to wait but the place was busy and the food was... More
