The food was very good, however the menu doesn't change very often. They were attentive and the service was excellent . My only criticism would be that it's maybe slightly expensive, but that wouldn't put me off returning. The steaks some of the party had were huge and worth the money.

Visited The Minishant Inn with a table of 7 inc 3 kids with one in a wheel chair, the welcome and service were spot on and very friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food tremendously with the Trio of meats being a big hit. I myself had the fillet steak which was huge and cooked to perfection. A must visit place if... More

My friends and me went here for a birthday dinner. Food was super tasty. I had chicken and haggis, was the nicest haggis I've eaten. Friends had steak pie and all thoroughly enjoyed it. All very satisfied! Squeezed in dessert which was also really yummy. Sticky toffee pudding. Will definitely be going back and have recommended to my friends and... More

Sometimes visit on way back from walks in the country. Great hearty pud food. Good selection and good deals with the set menus. The staff are always so friendly and extremely helpful. Definitely worth visiting.

I have stopped here for lunch on a couple of occasions and the Cullen skink is excellent. This time I had time for dinner - 2 courses for £15.95. The crab and prawn timbale was very tasty with a side salad and smoked salmon - generous portion size. Then the 3 meat main course with peppercorn sauce. A mini chicken... More

Have eaten in the Minishant often and the standard is good. A wee bit disappointed in the price for Alcohol Free Beer. Since the lowering of the alcohol limit, the Minishant seems to be cashing in on the a/f beer.A bit cynical, comparing the Minishant's price with other restaurants in the area.

Took my wife and daughter out for lunch as this restaurant was getting good reports, I would recommend anyone to go here, the food is superb and large portions for all. We all had the steak pie which was wonderful.the restaurant is small so I suggest you book to avoid disappointment.

Havnt had a wee night at Minishant restaurant for a few months. ( can't think why) but as usual the meal was outstanding, the service , wonderful and the restaurant itself cosy and inviting. No wonder it remains our favourite restaurant. Consistently excellent !!!!!
