We had an excellent dinner at MacCallum's, great service and the food was fresh, delicious and well presented. I can highly recommend the Lobster Thermidor. Worth a visit if you are a fish or seafood fan.

It was a Sunday evening, just after the Open Golf had finished and we had a table booked for 7pm. As the only people in the restaurant at the time we were well looked after until the main course arrived. The starter of lobster bisque was delicious as was the accompanying bread and the bottle of vinho verde. My friend... More

Took my wife out for a birthday lunch. Found restaurant on google maps and read the reviews so decided it was the place to treat her and surprise her, she likes fish restaurants. She was not disappointed. The food was all very good we had 3 courses, coffee and a drink each £75. I can't remember seeing a meat dish... More

We visited the restaurant during the week of the open golf. The food, service and atmosphere was all superb. This is my second visit, albeit spread over the period of 7 years and I couldn't find fault either time. Hopefully won't leave it as long until I return. Keep up the excellent work.

This was our second trip to MacCallum's and we loved it just as much the second time. The service is brilliant - very knowledgable and patient - the menu includes local dishes with straight-off-the-boat freshness - really special place and we got to see the seals in the harbour too! Totally recommend.

I have been going to this place for years and it's always been fantastic. Great fish and seafood in a lovely setting right next to the harbour. We went back this weekend for the first time since last summer. We heard that it was under new management so weren't sure what to expect. The food was just as good as... More

Brought here for lunch by a friend. Truth is you can't beat fresh fish - you can taste the difference between fresh and three day old fish. This restaurant is situated at the harbour were the fishing boats come in - can't get fresher than that! We were rather late for lunch so there were only two other tables with... More

What a charming and bijou restaurant! The food takes pride of place here so don't expect fancy decor and surroundings. The menu is changed daily according to what fish is landed at the harbour literally feet away from the kitchen door. If seafood is your thing then is is for you.Best to book because this is a small cosy place.... More

I feel a little guilty in that I have very mixed feelings about my visit. Yes - the setting is almost unique and what you would expect from this converted building at the end of the pier and therefore limited numbers can be catered for. Yes -the food, mainly fish etc, freshly cooked as you expect and not too long... More
