Decided to eat here whilst visiting Troon and we were not disappointed. Freshly cooked food at reasonable prices. It is a fish restaurant so don't expect steaks etc. Interesting menu and specials board. I had cullen skink followed by hake on a bed of cabbage and my partner had stornoway black pudding followed by seafood linguine. All very delicious. The... More

What a fantastic restaurant. It really has it all. It has a great location as it is a wonderful seafood restaurant which sits on the edge of the pier/harbor. You can watch all the fishing boats returning in the evening. The decor inside is great. The staff is fantastic and very attentive. The food is great, good portion sizes and... More

Found the Oyster Bar (wee hurrie) while walking along Troon front and around to the harbour. On entering the restaurant was shown to a table and given menus, first thing I noticed was the Cullen Skink soup, (my favourite) was disappointed, although the flavour was there, was very milky, and not a lot of smoked fish, and no bread served... Two weeks before this visit, we decided to see if we could get lunch (table of 2) without a reservation. We arrived at 1.50pm, to be told they were closed and the staff were going home. This week, we arrived and were told they didn't have a table until I said we had actually booked and suddenly we did have... More

This has been a favourite for us for several years - so much so that we travel from glasgow especially ( see my previous reviews) But after our last two visits I don't think we will be back. I turned a blind eye to a few issues on our second last visit - giving them the benefit of the doubt... More

Next to the wee hurrie is the long standing Oyster bar. I have been coming here since the 90s as the fish is excellent and the atmospheric ambience of sitting at the harbour is just perfect.

Had a lovely lunch here, starters, main course and a few drinks for three and a very reasonable price of £49. The seafood was all fresh, as it should be for where the restaurant is located. Been a few years since we were last there and we were pleasantly surprised to find the standards have not slipped, in fact even... More

A bit difficult to find, but worth it. Tucked away at the end of the working docks. The food was outstanding, the oysters were fresh and delicious.

Been here several times and it never disappoints. Seafood good and fresh. Simple but tasty menu. Reasonably priced wines. Great location watching the finishing boats tie up at night (several seals in the harbour hopefully for some scraps too!)

Thank Ian L
