Hotel was in need of significant upgrade. New owners have not investmented in the property. Hotel is understaffed and this was very poor experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea. The staff was very accomodating of our children and was able to seat us much earlier than our reservation. The food was great, and we had plenty of extra treats on our tray to share.

Located within the Marine Hotel, Troon a pleasant atmosphere with in the Arran Bar aptly named because the hotel itself faces the island of Arran, tea was piping hot which to us is important with the usual offerings that you get when ordering afternoon tea.

Still the same hotel, still the same extraordinary views, still a relaxing and unhurried atmosphere. So, what has changed. In my opinion the main difference is the friendliness of the staff. Probably the missing piece of the jigsaw. Had afternoon tea here yesterday and really...More
