Have been here a few times in the last couple of years and always forgot the name of the place, we just call it the Meringue Café. They are huge and take ages to eat. Firstly the savoury meals were excellent and the choice of cakes etc. are all good too. It is a seasonal café so get along there... More

What a lovely little place to have a cream tea. The tea was great and the place quite quaint. Loved Cromarty.

Very good place to stop for a quick bite. Staff excellent and scones and cream very good. Cakes on the stand looked good. It's a good stop in this town. Not far away from sea front to see the dolphins.

It became an habit to get tea or coffee and cake around mid afternnoon, dieting now. Great staff, quaint cafe and lovely selection of cakes. Drinks were lovely and all in all couldn't ask for anymore.

Have visited on several occasions in the last year and the service has always been friendly with an efficient table service. A good menu with wholesome food - spoil yourself with a cake! Popular with locals, visitors to the area and 'adventurers' such as my partner and myself who had just returned from a trip out to hopefully see dolphins.... More

Pleasant welcome and service but limited range of cakes by mid afternoon so we abstained. Tea was ok but espresso was not hot enough probably due to the machine temperature. Cash only accepted which can be inconvenient.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon, quiet to begin with but business soon picked up. Amazing home baking - the fresh cream double meringue special was huge, the scones very tasty and with a generous portion of cream to go with them. Planning to visit again before the end of our holiday for some more delicious cakes! :)

It was very busy when we arrived and the staff seemed rushed off their feet. Placing our order took a while but when the young member of staff had a chance to come to the table we well taken care of. The food is very traditional tea shop type- very tasty and nicely presented. The homemade coleslaw and potato salad... More

This café is in a prime location as tourists arrive in Cromarty. Appealingly colourful hanging baskets welcome our foreign visitors but once inside, you step back in time. The staff were friendly enough and the cleanliness was good but it's like walking into your granny's. I can't comment on the cakes on offer but the coffee we purchased was so... More
