Not a lot of choice of venues, but even if there were you would struggle to beat what we saw and experienced. The restaurant was heaving with locals and visitors. The outside option was also busy, but we choose to have a coffee and chips. Later, after a walk we returned for homemade ice-creams. All was excellent. The plates of... More

A busy Friday evening due to the rainy weather and raft race but we were quickly seated and the staff were really friendly and attentive. A massive menu made it so difficult to choose as it all sounded delicious. However we ended up having the best fish pie and sticky toffee pudding in the world!

After having an amazing drive up the Bealach pass we were looking forward to lunch at the Applecross Inn - along with many others - this is obviously a very popular place! My partner loves seafood and was spoilt for choice, he loved his langoustines. However as a vegan I was given the obligatory salad, which comprised lettuce and tomatoes,... More

Having spent the morning driving across the Highlands from the est coast to the west over the highest road in Britain, it was a pleasure to arrive at this small community. The scenery was fantastic on a beautiful warm sunny day without any clouds in the sky. At this point in the day, we were hungry, thirsty and in need... More

This is the second time we have stayed and this is an absolute gem with great service, lovely rooms with an incredible view and superb, simple local food. I always go for the seafood so had oysters followed by langoustines which were both superb with hearty portions. Breakfast was also outstanding. This is how Scottish hospitality should be done with... More

This was our first meal after setting out on the North Coast 500 and, after the drive to the inn, it was a very welcome sight indeed! The weather was excellent and we sat outside with our Greek flag waiting for the food to arrive. It was very busy but the food soon arrived and it was well worth the... More

It is not easy to get a room at the Applecross Inn, but we booked a few weeks before our visit and were fortunate. We were not in the Inn itself, but had a little house along the sea front, which was quiet and comfortable. Our meal in the Inn was delicious, particularly the scallops. The restaurant was very busy,... More

Great pub, with all the badges and certificates to prove it so you don't have to take my word for it. There is nothing finer than to have supper at this wonderful Inn on a summers day as it is bustling with life. The food is fresh, well cooked and reasonably priced. The staff are superb and attentive at every... More

We visited Applecross during our North Coast 500 motorbike trip.We ate in the Applecross Inn. They have a captive market, but have a great menu at good prices. Fish and chips,£10.95, served piping hot with peas, lovely!

Have just toured Scotland with my brother on our motorbikes and stayed in Applecross for a night having ridden over the mountain in thick cloud! Quite scary but magical at the same time! This place was rammed with people, the locals were extremely welcoming and chatty and the Landlady made us extremely welcome. The food looked incredible but unfortunately we... More
