I had the seafood pasta and a drink for under £15. This place is on the lochside but if you don't sit by the windows there's not much to see. The decor could do with a touch up as it's tired. The food is good and the staff polite. Good for families or those on a budget.

Took my mother in law and wife for lunch, just for cake and coffee. Everything again was up to the usual high standard. Great cakes and drinks and the staff polite efficient. Good prices and a very good range of food.

Every single person we were in contact with in this restaurant looked disgruntled. If we hadn't been pressed for time, would have gone elsewhere. Mediocre food. One of our daughters is vegan and when her food came, there was melted cheese on top (she had specifically asked for no cheese). The waiter just looked at her for a few seconds,... More

We had a good coffee while waiting to get into a boat and go sailing. Nice views of Loch Ness from this place. Thanks Camile

My partner and I were on a bus tour from Glasgow and only had 40 minutes or so to eat before we did the boat tour of Loch Ness. The Moorings was near where our bus dropped us and close to the boat departure. We could have gotten something takeaway from the same establishment but being on holiday (and being... More

We ate here because nothing else in town had seating for 1 hour or more.... The food was good. The service was also good. Can't complain.

We were looking for afternoon coffee tea in Fort Augustus. This was the only place around. It had Poor decor. The waiter was Abrupt to the point of rudeness. The Coffee was good to be fair as was the cake but the service and atmosphere wasn't great.

Not good...food was terrible. Ordered a salmon sandwich, which to be fair is what I got, not quite the fresh rustic offering I might have expected given the setting, supermarket thin white bread with a woefully paltry slice of slimy salmon.

A large group of us called in about 3pm, we were told that they wouldn't serve us coffee & snacks as only serving main meals. Seemed a strange decision for the time of day. Food looked pretty awful anyway so happily moved on to The Lock Inn - which was very accommodating & excellent. Won't ever bother trying The Moorings... More

We stop for lunch at this small restaurant when we has short visit at Augustus Loch Ness. It decorates lovely with good service. Quick meal with average taste and cheap price.
