Happened to call in on a whim. Wife is coeliac and hasn’t had battered fish in years. The fish was awesome. The meat pie well cooked meat and beautiful crunchy pastry top. If you need gluten free fish and chips this is the best!

Great location in a small town overlooking a loch and with Loch Ness near by. Friendly staff, not much of a bar with a small selection of beer but the food was excellent.

Very good Cullen Skink though the vegetarian option was poor. The chick pea and sweet potato stew was without chick peas! The pub had a good traditional atmosphere, which is becoming rarer now.

We had a good meal here (lunch) including the onion rings, steak pie and haggis. Staff were Scotland friendly enough.

Went for dinner mid-week during our week in Fort Augustus. Got v busy after 7pm! 2 adults and 2 little dogs made very welcome. Log fire, comfortable bench seating & good pub food. Haddock and chips was huge! Highly recommended!
