Nice bit over priced

I have had nice food here, but think it is overpriced for what you get. The pasta dishes aren't memorable and everything else is overpriced.

The breakfast at the hotel was terrible!! A buffet of the cheapest oil-soaked ingredients you can ever find. A few bits of fruit for those that don't eat fried foods and the obligatory cereal boxes and juice jugs. You would get better in a bed and breakfast, Premier inn or greasy spoon. There is nothing Five star about this place... More

the Palamino Bistro is lovely & while dining you can watch the horse riding . Good variety of food , made fresh & good sized portions . the waiting staff were very attentive but willing to let you take as long as you want to order . All the food we ordered was very nice & the desserts were amazing... More

Wasn't impressed by the lunch time menu as it was only snacky type food salads etc unless eating a la carte. I had fish in a bun with fries, very small piece of fish hardly worth the price. My niece had a pesto salad which she didn't finish. She didn't comment on it. My sister had a salmon and prawn... More

Going from strength to strength over the years and now with hotel accommodation, hair dressing salon as well as stables but I Personally have enjoyed drinks and meals, lunch and evening time and cannot fault in any way. Would highly recommend, also provide accommodation... More

Lovely venue with delightful staff. The food as always was excellent. The surroundings are excellent and very entertaining if there are some riders schooling their horses while you eat!! Service a wee but slow but the staff are very helpful

Food still very disappointing after third and last try. A shame because it's a beautiful place. A couple next to us sent their meal back because of the smell from their steaks only to be told it was fine by the chef. Two ladies at the next table left their burgers after one bite and the fish I ordered was... More

Just not worth the effort of going, lack of experienced staff spoiled our day. Service appalling- such a shame because it's a lovely place.
