Had an exceptionally good lunch with family and despite our slightly late arrival this was no problem for the staff. Would have given it a 5 Star for Excellence if only there had been a slightly wider menu choice - that said, everyone enjoyed their choice and the food was of very good quality.

Both the duck and scallnp starters were very tasty. Venison and steak mains were excellent. Ambience was good. Only downside was that my wife would have preferred a tablecloth. That won't stop us from returning.

Ok, let's keep it simple. For a well priced, 'fine dining' rural lunchtime experience, it doesn't get a whole lot better than this. A small but perfectly formed menu, in convivial surroundings. Refined dishes of mooli smoked salmon, perfectly cooked pigeon & blackpudding, lamb rump, sea bream, confit duck leg presse, followed by sweet rhubarb sorbet and smooth dark chocolate.... More

We were lucky enough to be given a voucher for this restaurant with rooms for Christmas. We booked in for an overnight stay and dinner. The room was just the lovely and despite the hotel being on a busy through road - we slept soundly with no noise. It may also had something to do with the delicious meal and... More

This place should be a feted restaurant in a major city. Except it is an excellent oasis of incredible food in a small village, for miles from Crieff. The food is extraordinary, the service attentive. Only 50 minutes from Renfrew. You won't regret the drive.

We had an unscheduled lunch here, and although we arrived quite late, we were made very welcome and not rushed. Indeed the service during our visit was attentive but not pushy. The food was excellent with plenty of choice of both starters and main course. My trout, orange and pink peppercorn terrine starter was delicious. The venison crocquets we had as... More

Had a wonderful lunch here yesterday, the choice from the menu (£15.50 two courses) was very exciting and very difficult to decide what to choose. The slant towards local produce with a twist of French cooking ensures quality and flavours are at their fullest. Trout terrine was amazing and my loin of venison outstanding and dessert of Apple tartan was... More

Absolutely loved our stay here for our wedding anniversary. An absolutely outstanding meal, with friendly & helpful people, and exceptionally good value. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates excellent Scottish food and hospitality.
