We had not booked, but on arrival were made welcome and a nice table by the window, offering stunning views, was found for us. The seafood platter was very well presented and the quality and freshness of the food perfect. The deserts were too tempting to resist, we just had to taste and I'm glad we did.

Great looking from the outside and fantastic views. However terrible and rude service from the manageress. Good menu choices and the food was well presented though a little pricey. The waiting staff was attentive but our greeting when we entered soured the experience. Would not recommend.

We probably got one of the best days for weather in my three visits to Orkney. This is a great spot for lunch and if you like seafood this is another good spot. I had a seafood platter which had Orkney Crab, Local Hot & Cold Smoked Salmon, Mackeral, Prawns, Pickled Herring and a Mixed Salad which I would easily... More

We were having such a relaxed holiday that neither me or my wife could remember our anniversary date, so we booked to eat at Skerries on the date that we thought was near enough. Skerries is all about fish and views, plenty of fish on the menu and excellent views. Curious though is the intimate pod outside where you can dine... More

We did not book and were lucky enough to get a table. The manageress moved a couple of table especially for us. the view is amazing. The restaurant provided a high chair for 2.5 year old, but there is not a childrens menu. Instead children can have half portions of the normal menu. The lasagna was a very popular choice.... More

We have just had lunch at the Scerries . It is a bit out of the way but well worth the Jouney. The views are fantastic and the food and service excellent.

I visited Skerries Bistro on a showery, grey afternoon for a late lunch. In a lovely glass building perched atop a cliff with stunning sea views (even in the rain), it was a great lunch stop. The interior is modern and clean. A blackboard menu offered a good selection of snacks and mains and I chose the seafood chowder. Seafood... More

Just returned after a fab evening meal . Better half had halibut. I had the best langoustines I have ever had. Absolutely well presented with correct implements to enjoy. . Down side no sighting of orcas . That was the only down side. You will not be disappointed

Went to skerries bistro for lunch. Service a bit slow with drinks coming a good 20 mins before food. Food nice but not amazing. Salad dressing would be good! Charging £15 for seafood platter then adding 50p extra for bread a bit cheeky. Orkney fudge cheesecake, however, lovely!

We lunched at Skerries on the way to visit 'The Tomb of the Otters' (well worth a visit) on the suggestion of our Tour Guide (review available). This small, modern Bistro offered local produce cooked thoughtfully and tastily at an honest price. We had only intended to stop briefly for a light lunch between sightseeing stops but the quality of... More
