A surprising sunny day in August ...decided to go for lunch. Drove the 25 miles to Logie Steadings. Found the Olive Tree Cafe. Well worth the drive. Lovely lunch. Craft shops are a plus for the Mrs.

We visited the cafe before and after a forest walk and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. Good menu with some unusual flavours - but something for everyone. Very busy at lunchtime - obviously a popular place. A little pricey but definitely good fresh food.

I chose the venison burger which was very tasty with the redcurrant jelly and Brie. Kids had cheesy... More

Great spacious cafe situated in the lovely Logie Steading, which has plenty of other shops with great things to offer. Service was friendly and efficient, despite them being extremely busy. Lunch was fab - fresh soup sandwiches and scones. Will definitely return!

We arrived very wet and bedraggled after our two mile walk turned into an eight mile hike. I read the reviews on the River Walk before we left and had hoped the lack of signage was something that had been remedied, alas not. Anyway, we made it to the Olive Tree and had some delicious pea and mint soup with... More

The Olive Tree Cafe is a coffee shop that currently seats 90 indoors and has a beautiful courtyard outside for further dining. There is a lovely mezzanine area upstairs for relaxing over a newspaper or magazine whilst enjoying a freshly baked treat with a hot tea, coffee or hot chocolate. As part of a converted steading there are many different independently owned businesses offering various shops for visitors to enjoy. The cafe makes all of its food and cakes freshly on the premises using the freshest of ingredients. With a children's menu, delicious coffee and a variety of teas we enjoy catering for all tastes. There is a play area for children and disabled access for those who need it.
