Loved the "jack on crack" sandwich. I tried all the sauces on the table, very good. Didn't care for the dining area but the food made up for it. Be prepared, its bottled soda not fountain drinks, and not cheap. Stop by, try the pulled...pork, its worth it.More

We finished the Jack Daniels distillery tour and were hungry. We needed some food to absorb the alcohol. The Barrel House was suggested to us by a staff member of the distillery. It was a five minute walk to the town square. I had the...half rack of pork ribs and my wife had the beef brisket. Both were very, very good. The prices were fair. Being from Texas, I believe I am a good judge of BBQ and the Tennessee BBQ was pretty damn good! Almost as good as Texas BBQ! I would recommend eating at the Barrel House.More

Good pulled pork. Huge portion of BBQ nachos as well. Sauce is good. Great location, within walking distance of the Jack Daniel's visitor center.

Visited before the Jack Daniels distillery tour, some of the best BBQ I've ever had. No frills, just good food at a good price and service with a smile.

Walked in after being referred from Uncle Nearest Distillery for great food after our tour. The place is not your pretty bbq spot but rather a good ol’ hometown spot that is super chill with paper plates! Greeted by the owner and wait staff upon...arrival. And immediately felt comfortable. We told the owner where we were referred from and he was pumped - as he was rocking a shirt and jacket from the distillery. Our waitress recommended the crack as well as the sausage and ribs. We were thinking small portions (our city living) what came out was enough food for two days! And it was so good!!! I got the sausage and ribs, along with sweet potatoes and baked beans, omg. Dipped in their house made (bottled for purchase) liquid gold. Feedback, get there early if their is a particular bbq meat you want, this is the type of place that when it’s gone it’s gone. Sweet potatoes were just ok. Definitely worth the detour until their next location opens on the property of Uncle Nearest.More

Very small little restaurant. We really enjoyed the food! Quick and friendly service. We were in and out in about 30 minutes! Right in the square so it’s easy to find. We didn’t love that you could only get bottled drinks but that didn’t stop...us from having a great experience!More

For being a tourist restaurant, this was good food. The nachos loaded with pulled pork were very good. The smoked sausage was fantastic. The BBQ sauces were all tasty. I’ve eaten at two of the restaurants in Lynchburg and I’d definitely go back here.

Chuck does not require reservations but you can call ahead and tell them how many and what time you will be there. If you have to wait it will be well worth it!
