Website states opening hours are until 4pm. Made a special trip to Cottingham to have an afternoon tea as it was my birthday. Got to the cafe at 2.50 to be told they were closing. No apology or explanation and it was then too late...More
Scones and cream very good, friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable sofa to sit on in the window to watch the world pass by.

Beautiful English pub surroundings with a the tea room charm. A lovely cup of coffee to cheer myself on a wet miserable day. (Highly recommended as an alternative to the chain coffee shop further down the road.)
