We had a lovely meal at the Drovers Inn Gussage All Saints on the weekend - the food was delicious at a very good price considering the quality of ingredients and levels of preparation that must be needed. It was really busy which is great to see for them as it has recently re-opened - every table had reservations signs... More

My father chose the sausages but was very disappointed. I did mention this to the waitress but she just replied that they were local produce from wherever. This is no help if the skins are tough and they are undercooked. I had fish and chips which was good. It was a lovely drive to reach the pub from Bournemouth as... More

Went with a friend today to try the long awaited opening of this pub which years ago was a fantastic pub. First impression was pretty pub, lacking a bit in atmosphere, needed a few hanging baskets outside , but the very disappointing first impression was fact the the manager did not go out of his way to welcome us at... Sunday lunch out has become a 'new tradition' in Britain, and it may be the saving of many rural hostelries. After a fiercely-fought and intelligently managed campaign to save the well-known 'Drovers' in quiet Gussage All Saints, the community-interest owned inn is now once again a busy, well-kept and efficiently run pub which is aiming to be both a 'destination'... We decided to go out for an evening meal with our two young children. When I phoned I was advised to book. Im so glad we did, it was very busy and the staff even mentioned the dreaded 'fully booked' phrase. The pub itself has undergone a huge transformation and it's decorations are very complimenting to it's rural setting. The... More

Having stumbled across this little beauty by mistake on Friday evening, we booked for Sunday lunch today and we were not disappointed. The pub has only recently reopened as a community project after extensive renovation and the result is extremely welcoming and pleasant. The staff still seemed to be finding their way somewhat but it didn't matter. The excellent Sunday... More

We used to visit the Drovers before it closed down. On seeing that it had reopened we wanted to support this new community venture. We arrived at around 1pm to hopefully have a sandwich in the garden. There were several tables free, so we went inside to see the menu. I asked for a menu and was asked if i... More

Thank you for visiting us. The Drovers inn is receiving wonderful support as a result of it re-opening. Our food is prepared from scratch and cooked to order as which means we can only accommodate so many covers each half hour. It is not our policy to take your order and leave you to wait a long time before it... More

This was my second visit since it reopened, we live close (5 miles) and used to go to the Drovers frequently for a beer. On my first visit post reopening I asked who brewed the house beer, to be told it was locally brewed, in Hampshire, and that it was a golden English ale, but not who brewed it. So... More

Before publicly airing our concerns about our brief visit to the Drovers I thought it fair to phone them to give them an opportunity to respond. I tried to phone a couple of times the day after our visit around six in the evening, and there was no answer. That in itself strengthened my view that ‘something needs to be... More

The 'old' Drovers used to be our 'local' and we were sad when it closed. We thought we'd give the 'new' Drovers a go. We had to wait 40 minutes for food because they only had/have one chef. We asked for some peanuts as nibbles, only for the girl behind the bar not to know the difference between wasabi, sesame... More
