A group of 6 of us pre booked on a busy Bank Holiday Sunday - the place was busy but they coped well with us and the food, by consensus, was excellent. Sunday roast was very well received as were the two vegetarian meals. One...More

Hi, Thank you for the review! We would be shot if we served a large creamy head on our beer as the locals would say they were being short changed! We are delighted that you enjoyed your meals.

We stopped off here for lunch on our way home from Corfe Castle and enjoyed the food. My wife had chicken and mushroom pie which she said was one of the best she had had and my sausages were nice. There is an outside seating...More

Thank you for your comments. Many customers do like the background music as it gives them some privacy so their conversations cannot be overheard by the neighbouring tables. It is never played very loudly. If our staff were 'busy and brisk' as you describe, they were...More

Wednesday 2pm, desperate for good pub food as time getting on, popped in first to check I could take dogs in garden, saw 2 clear signs stating dog friendly and was informed well behaved dogs could go anywhere. Sat outside under the trees, a couple...More

Thank you for the great review. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome throughout The Halfway Inn! Glad the 2 legged customers also enjoyed their good pub grub!

We visited one Tuesday lunchtime and it was very quiet in the pub. I say pub because so many pubs are trying to be restaurants and no longer offer pub grub at good value. Sadly this is the case here. Most main courses were £13...More

Thank you Hardtoplease78 for taking the time to review us. We believe our prices to be very competitive given the area and our use of quality, locally sourced ingredients. We make the vast majority of our menu on site. Other recent comments back our view...More

We dined here on Wednesday evening. The place was packed and we were lucky to get a table. The food was very tasty and nicely presented - I had the pie of the day and my wife had the chargrilled chicken. The service was excellent.

The Halfway Inn nestles on the A351 not far out of Corfe Castle. The outside look of the pub and it’s thatched roof give the impression of an expensive / exclusive experience. In fact the catering serves the local holidaying community of campers and caravaners...More

Thank you for your comments but we simply cannot agree with your vision for our business. The location of The Halfway Inn on the main road to the Isle of Purbeck, surrounded by campsites and self catering accommodation, does dictate the type of customers who...More

The ceilings are a bit low for me (being 6'6") but a bump to the head just adds to the setting- great pub with oodles of character and history topped off with a thatched roof. Friendly staff, tasty food at a reasonable price. We had...More

On a rainy day we stopped for lunch. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. I had the veggie special and it was true veggie food - delicious.

Hi Samantha, yes we allow our guests to stay over in the car park after their meal with us. All we ask is that you park at the far end of the car park to allow access for deliveries to get in on the mornings.
