We have stayed in the Wareham area of Dorset, several times, mainly to visit the Tank Museum and after discovering the Kings Arms at Stoborough one evening and having had an excellent meal, we don't even bother looking for anywhere else to eat now and always make a beeline for this characterful pub for our main meal of the day.... Excellent old English pub. Food great and staff friendly and attentive. Good range of beers. Low ceilings and beams give lots of character to a very pretty pub. Well worth a visit.

Arrived on spec. Asked if they had a table for two, no problems the young ladie sat us by the double doors (it was the hottest day of the year) . The menu had a good selection of choices also the specials board. Food could not be faulted, cooked to a tee. Good selection of beers and wine. The staff... More

On a recent break in Wareham we called here on the off chance on a Friday evening. We were able to find a table and had a very enjoyable evening with good well cooked pub grub and attentive staff. Well done all.

First visit to this very friendly place but hopefully not the last. Staff were excellent, showing us to our table very promptly, service was excellent considering it was a very busy Saturday evening & the food was superb!! There were 4 in our party, all choosing something different, 1 - Scampi & chips, large portion of scampi & apparently delicious, 1... More

Great pub. Always good. Food good. But....my gripe is the Tuesday pie and pint special. My sister and I liked the sound of the special pies but we don't drink beer. We were Very disappointed that the beer couldn't be substituted for a (large) glass of wine. Sorry Kings Arms but you lost us.

We were recommended to this pub and were not disappointed. Our meal was very tasty and well cooked, and we could not fault the staff who were both efficient and friendly.

Lovely old building, varied menu, reasonable prices, pleasant service, large car park, good selection of ales. Nothing not to like about this pub which is located about 1 mile south of Wareham. Fresh local crab on the menu along with he usual pub staples.

We (4 adults) enjoyed a delicious lunch today. The homemade chicken liver and brandy parfait was rated fantastic by my husband, I had succulent smoked mackerel fillets, friends had olives (so many they couldn't finish them), with fresh, crusty bread. Mains were superb, (pork, steak and real ale pie, lasagne and cod). Very friendly staff, good service
