What a lovely meal! I was very impressed with the welcoming and friendly service we received - the waitress was very helpful. Also, there are fantastic baby chairs which suited our little one perfect. I would definitely recommend it compared to the other places to eat in the centre.

This place is getting back on its feet again after a few years of neglect. The food was really very good and everyone in my party enjoyed it. It's well worth a try and anyone who has not eaten there for a few years, like me, will find that things are a lot better now.

We had a group dinner meeting on Wednesday 28/10/2015, friendly staff table set out well. The food was brought out to each guest hot, well presented and very good portion sizes. The food was delicious, very tasty, cooked to perfection and exactly as we ordered. The meals were very reasonably priced. Drinks orders were taken at the table. Well done... More

We went for Saturday lunch with our 19 month old daughter and it was lovely! Great service and the food was lovely, the staff came to check on us regularly and even the chefs came to check that we had enough food and they even brought out extra sausages for my daughter when she finished what she had. We had... More

It's no surprise to see a plethora of wonderful reviews since new landlord and landlady took over. I'd been to the Swan for food just over a year ago, and was somewhat disappointed... however in recent months, under new management, food, service and general atmosphere have all drastically improved. The menu is wholesome, traditional yet varied, and it's clear that... More

Dropped in for Sunday lunch on our way back home from Devon. Discovered that it has just changed hands - some signs of previous lack of care were still evident (renovation takes time), but the welcome was friendly and the Badger First Call was certainly well-kept. Food was served pretty quickly for a Sunday: nothing fancy, just competently cooked food,... More

Very average English pub. Just what they were all like 30 years ago, I mean in a ordinary way. Menu looks exciting. Very long wait for simple (& tasty sandwich). Staff agreeable. Eat in bar, no atmosphere. Also there is a "restaurant" section & garden at rear.

I visited the Swan for lunch today with my mother. I ordered a cheese omlette, it seemed very little cheese was present as it couldn't be tasted. The salad with my meal was dry, served with no dressing and obviously unwashed as it contained considerable amounts of grit. After I drew this to the attention of the waitress, showing her... More
