Amazing building, scenery and location but everything else is disappointing. We had to wait over an hour for burnt beef burgers. Luckily we ordered before it got busy as I expect some of those customers are still waiting for their food! Staff were not friendly or welcoming. Lots of potential.

We visited the smugglers around the new yrs period.... we had been there previously when we were on holiday for food and drink and loved the spot and the feel of the place..... On our most recent visit I noted that it was a hall and wood house establishment..... I'm not sure if I missed that the first time we... More

Visited for lunch the food was very nice when it arrived the pub was nicely decorated for Christmas and had a nice atmosphere. Would like to return in the summer and sit outside as the surroundings are beautiful. The only draw back was slightly slow service but maybe it was because it was a busy period between Christmas and new... More

Another disappointing visit to the Smugglers. After completing a lovely coastal walk with my family, we decided to give it another chance after several previous visits which were less than impressive. We ordered two lamb scewers, a steak and ale pie served with "seasonal" vegetables and a chicken burger. Lamb scewers were actually kofte processed kebabs, the type you might... More

A group of 25 work colleagues celebrated the festivities over lunch at The Smugglers. We had an area of the pub to ourselves, which was ideal. The tables were attractively decorated with crackers, candles, etc. and we were all made to feel most welcome. The service was prompt, friendly, efficient. Everyone enjoyed their food, with no complaints at all. The... More

Popped in after a long walk along the cliffs. Very welcoming and cosy. The staff were delightful all smiles and full of the festive spirit. Only went in for one drink but stayed for two, made walking back to Weymouth interesting.

I think she gets why I dislike commercial boozers in town centres, what a great place to order dad and herself her first round, (i gave her the money though :-( ). Badger ale was faultless and daughter had a double Jegher ????? we ate,a warm brie starter to share and a cod and chips each, (faultless). Staff were very... More

A low key visit to mark my Dad's 85th birthday. The service was excellent to begin with but slightly slower as the evening progressed. Good was good All round. +ite generous portions and well prepared. Fresh salad and chips clearly cooked in fresh clean oil. Everything was very tasty although coffee was a little weak for our taste. Could do... More

We stayed for 3 nights. The food was delicious. Would highly recommend the vegetarian breakfast, so different. Staff very friendly. Only one recommendation have some spare electric heaters for winter as there were issues with lack of heat for one of the nights in the pub itself. The rooms were heated fine.

What a lucky Find . Set down a windy Road and overlooking a fabulous View . Roaring fire with cozy nooks and sofa/seating areas . There were about 20 of us and already this was a busy little pub, it seems to be popular with walkers . The Staff are friendly and attentive and the food was fab., although on... More
