A really great beer garden with a view of Corfe Castle in the distance. Some good local ales on tap. A great menu too - when we were there, the jerk shack was open in the garden too - a Jamaican jerk BBQ - we ordered some very tasty jerk shrimps and jerk chicken wings for starters. And then from... Dear sachmill Thank you very much for your great review. You seem to have sampled our current greatest hits on the menu, with JerkShak starters and Scott Arms mains. A very sensible way to order that I highly recommend. Best regards Simon More

You pull in to the best view ever, then to a pub that has character style and a little bit of quirkiness . The staff were amazing and polite. The food was amazing brilliantly cooked and more than enough. If you don't eat, just come for a beer and just look at the view. You will not be disappointed. Lucas... More

An old pub with a good selection of ales and food. food was a bit pricey. My wife, who is disabled, found it difficult to get into the garden from the car park. Their were steps into the bar and the toilet doors were very hard to open. Can't go back for these reasons. The view from the garden is... More

Dear dande20969 Thank you for your review and feedback. We are very aware of the difficulties with all our steps and differing levels. The pub was built in 1789 and has developed over the years in quite a haphazard fashion. Which is part of the charm but also part of the problem you have encountered. I would recommend if you... Beautiful setting tucked into the hills above Corfe Castle with amazing views from lovely pub garden. Car park. Great inside too. Very pleasant staff. Worth a special trip off the main road!

We have been visiting this quaint pub for years. The food is really good and as there are so many rooms it never appears too busy. A must for walkers in the area.

We booked a table at late notice so we're happy we could be squeezed in. On arrival we were waved in a general direction and told our table number, so we went to find it ourselves. On booking I was asked if I'd need a highchair, which I did, but it wasn't there so we had to find one. The... More

Dear hickers89 Thank you for your review. Very happy that you had such great service from our staff and enjoyed our stunning location. Of course not so happy with you disappointment with the food. We keep our main menu focused on pub classics, 6 starters plus a very popular sharing board, and 8 mains. The specials board then reflects what... More

We live locally so took advantage of evening sunshine to have dinner outside. Views are second to none. Service was quite slow but acceptable and staff were friendly. Food was good and for these reasons this review becomes average rather than poor. However - the food is expensive even by Purbeck standards. We paid £33 for sausage and mash, a... More

Dear Scotsmidge Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We have an expensive view to maintain and our fresh, homemade food has to reflect this reality. Our prices are pretty average for the area and we are always trying to add different dishes at different prices to suit all budgets. But thank you for the feedback. Simon More

While staying in Corfe Castle we went to Kingston, a couple of miles down the road, to see St. James Church. We stumbled upon the Scott Arms and booked a table for the following night. When we arrived for dinner the booking was not to found but, even though it was busy, we were able to be seated. We had... More
