Stopped at the Castle Inn for lunch as we do regularly thanks to their great quality food and fantastic allergy info. Friendly and welcoming staff, high chair available and a lovely garden on a nice day. Our only complaint is that the fairies seem to have gone off on holiday leaving our daughter disappointed. Hope to see them back on... More

Always a warm welcome at The Castle Inn, a tiny, cosy, stone built pub with lots of character. Good menu which features local produce and a daily specials board. Well kept real ale and a couple of ciders, no wonder this place is always busy!

First rate Sunday roast. Generous helping and plenty of vegetables. Best to book as pub was full. Pleasant helpful staff.

The landlord (Mark) was very accommodating and his staff were so friendly, we felt very welcome. The chef is a magician! The burgers were lovely, as was the goat's cheese starter and the cheesecake was the best I've ever had anywhere! We will definitely go back again when in the area.

This pub has very friendly staff. A good menu. The pub is now mainly set up for dining and the evening meal that we had was good. The interior is a nice old stone building with a log fire. What more could we want on a very cold January evening.

I visited with my husband and parents and we all thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch. The roast pork and beef were flavoursome and well cooked. They were served with plenty of roast potatoes and parsnips, Yorkshire pudding and dishes of perfectly cooked vegetables. Piping hot food, efficient friendly service and clean plates all round. £10.95 was excellent value (bit more... More

A fabulously traditional and cosy old English style inn whose staff gave us the most lovely and friendly welcome from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was absolutely delicious. We booked after reading reviews on trip advisor as we were staying locally in the area and were so pleased we did. There were a... Over 20 of us had a costal walk this morning followed by a lunch at the Castle Inn at 2pm just as the rain began. What good timing! And what a fantastic Sunday roast.!. The pork was succulent with plenty of fresh veg. The beef also looked lovely. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. What a splendid way to start... More

Had a good evening at the Castle just after Christmas. The experience was fun with all the Christmas lights on the ceiling, it was warm and cosy. The food had a varied selection of normal menu and specials. Friendly service and good home made food. Worth visiting if you want an honest welcoming place to eat. Beer was fresh and... More

An absolute gem of a traditional pub for family lunch with young kids. All were made very welcome by very friendly staff. Small and very cosy bar/restaurant with log fire. Proper homemade pub food with excellent service. Brilliant in every respect, will definitely be back.
