Food ok, beer ok, children's play area had giant chess set and table tennis table but disappointingly no ping pong balls.

Lovely setting in super little touristy village. My wife and I both had a very very tasty burger, my daughter had the ham egg and chips and they kindly done a couple of fish fingers for my 1 year old. Really tasty, simple honest pub food that I'd recommend. Parking available right outside but if that's full then there is... More

A regular of this pub for drinks (outside if there is room!) with a lovely atmosphere; also for food. Good bar menu and good value. Staff are always nice and welcoming.

Experienced a lovely welcome at this pub, we ate there quite a lot, the food is no more expensive than anywhere else around that area, and the meals were of a high standard, and big portions. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and there is a lovely garden out at the back. We will be back here.

We booked here for Sunday lunch and I would say the food was nice but not great. I had the roast beef and although the beef was tasty it was rather chewy. I think an older person with teeth problems would have struggled. The apple and plum pie was yummy. Service was a little slow, we waited 25 minutes for... More

Nice staff, especially the young lad who had moved down from Kent to be with his girlfriend. A shame they had run out of a few things. Nevertheless we both enjoyed the hake and scampi. Nice atmosphere, would recommend.

We went for dinner here and loved the food. The pub has great character with lots of old money on the bar from all different countries, and old photographs of the area on the walls. Lots to look at! Mum and I had the vegetable lasagne which we thought was delicious! The staff were also really friendly and accommodating :)

Went here for Sunday lunch. Seated at 12.15 after friendly initial contact with bar staff. Had quite a while to wait but this is a very busy place due to popularity. The beef lunch was well priced. Yorkshire puddings and roasties were very good (and this from a Yorkshire couple!) Meat looked good and plenty of it. However difficult to... More

This place is lovely inside and out, great for a relaxing drink. The food is another matter. . It's the same in most places in Mortehoe and woolacombe, they don't really need to try hard to get people in, so they don't. Pretty basic deep fried stuff that was a little cold. ..... And a chef who declared loudly that... More

Visited twice and the food was very good. There were 7 of us and the food came at the same time for all of us and was beautifully cooked and presented

Thank Joy C
