This was my first visit to this weatherspoons and the last! we had a 30-40 minute wait, that was fair enough it was lunch time, but I think they started cooking the food as the order was taken? the meat on the mixed grill was dry, chewy and burnt. Will never be back there again, Not up to the standards... More

Usually big pub chains aren't the best when it comes to food but must admit we found the food really good and good value for money ,friendly staff and a nice clean pub

More staff that are better trained, as we asked to be served we were told sorry I'm busy by a staff member that was just standing there doing nothing , was very disappointing , also as it was a Wednesday it was chicken night and there was no chicken left and at 16.30 very disappointing, this is not unusual as... I expect any JDW to be pleasant and clean. Not this one. Exterior looks as though it hasn't been redecorated in years, interior is grubby (as in your shoes stick to the tiles by the bar) and tired. The crockery and cutlery we were given were absolutely filthy. As it's in the centre of town it obviously doesn't have to... More

We all ordered steaks, I have to say they were the worst steaks that we have had at a Wetherspoons, certainly not up to usual standard. We decided to try again and went back for breakfast a few days later, what a mistake!! It was awful, some of it was really burnt. Three of us sent it back. When I... More

First shock no Sunday dinners anymore, service was good but might suggest the waitress wait for comments re meal at the end rather than the beginning. Food was nice but the chicken and rib meal whilst nice was let down by a very stubborn chicken, this was hard and, seemed over heated. Unfortunately this was not a one off as others... More

2 x Sunday brunch, one for a veggie both with a pint. Totally disappointed, only bit of mine (veggie) that was hot was the undercooked chips, same for my partners. Took ages to arrive, only decent part of my visit was the alcohol and the cheery (but flustered and having trouble with the till) young lad that served me.

We stopped here after a 4 day break in Devon Cliffs. Family of 6 adults all wanting breakfast. The gentleman who served us was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He was attentive and polite. ( A tall slim man) We all ordered different breakfasts and drinks, which were brought out and served within good time. The food... More
