A friendly pub to meet friends for a drink - a great choice of beers. We didn't have a meal although the food taken to other tables all looked very good.

Following the completion of a costal walk from Budleigh Salterton to Exmouth, we were in need of refreshment. Although it wasn't busy there was a warm welcome, we chose the steak sandwich which came with onion chutney and mushrooms , chips and homemade red cabbage 'slaw. It was served promptly a more than generous portion and very tasty. There were... More

Our final night on tour saw us visit the Grapevine for a few more drinks (like we needed them!) as we had been told there would be live music. There was and it was pretty decent. The Grapevine had good staff, who served drinks quickly and efficiently - and with a smile. They have a great range of bottled beers... More

Paid a couple of visits to The Grapevine as one of the better pubs around for decent ale. Had quite a large selection too. Ate here one night and the menu is pretty decent and the food didn't disappoint. There is an offer of a small handmade pizza and a glass of Prosecco for £4.95 which is good value. There... More

Good food, good service, quality ales and wines, music very good if rather loud at times. A very good place to sit and have a chat during the day with your partner and have a wee drink as well

Visited with my partner on a Saturday night and it was perfect, big stein of Pilsner and perfectly cooked steak. Really looking forward to going back to try a bit more of the menu as everything going to tables around us looked great 😀

Spent a pleasant evening here on our SW Coast Path walk. Really impressed with some unusual (and excellent!) beers brewed by the pub. Food was well cooked and definitely a cut above standard pub meals. Good ambiance and pleasant light airy interior.

Went here last Saturday on the spur of the moment. Had only been once before for a drink but remembered seeing good reviews for food. We had the pizza prosecco offer for a starter. Four 99 for a glass of prosecco and a small freshly made stone baked pizza. Absolutely yummy and would be ample for a lunch. But we... More

I had a great meal here. The service was perfect, the choice and quality of the food was excellent. There's a nice ambience here. Not too expensive. I would recommend. Nothing to complain about.

Had evening meal here, 4 of us, and although menu is limited what we had was delicious. Served by lovely staff who were extremely friendly and helpful and allowed us to sample the ciders that we did not know, great service. We do not live in this area but visit family and will definitely go again. Well done to all... More
