First time we have eaten here, good quality food, kids meals are good and a decent size, puddings are very good. ideal after a long walk on the moor.

Visited this cosy pub high up on Dartmoor for lunch. First impression was the lovely smell of burning wood from the two blazing fireplaces. A warm welcome from the staff followed. Excellent Otter ale and the meals of Rabbit pie/ beef lasagne were tasty although the vegetables with the pie were a little tired. Overall this was good pub grub... More

Been there several times. This time for a Sunday lunch. Had a Splendid authentic burger with cheesy chips. Lovely beer but wish they make their collection of ale a little better. Great people serve the food in a great location of Dartmoor. Definitely recommended.

The pub was lovely, cosy and warm. The staff were so friendly and the food was great too. The views are amazing. Well worth the trip.

A group of us booked an evening meal and all were tasty and excellent portions. The meals did come out one by one (almost) and by the time the last was served, the first was almost finished. However, the meals were not ordered as a group (even though it was a group booking). Two beers on; the ubiquitous and now... More

Having spent a lovely day driving thought the moors I decided to stop here for lunch with my family. Lovely warm pub and very welcoming bar man even if he did have a Liverpool tattoo on his neck. Food however cottage pie nothing of any flavour or more than just mince with potato accompanied with some tasteless microwaved vegetables. Asked... More

Arrived here for a late lunch after a long walk on the Moor. The Warren Inn is full of history and quirkiness from the fire that has never gone out to the nick nacks that are everywhere including explanations of the 3 Hare effigy that can be seen all over this area. Hubby had the largest jacket potato I think... More

Stopped in the Warren Inn on Saturday after a night and hike on the moor. Arrived at 12:30 expecting it to be very busy, but was quite quiet. Disappointed that we couldn't get a table near the fire, but we were a bit late. Sat in the back room as we had muddy boots. Had a nice pint of otter... More

We called here recently for lunch on a cold, sunny winter's day. Inside was welcoming, with the smell of wood smoke from the fire, which has allegedly been alight constantly since 1845! I had the rabbit pie, with chips and veg, which was very good and washed it down with a well kept pint of Otter ale. The wife enjoyed... More

I imagine the Warren House is just aiming at tourists, and that's why they don't care about food quality or overpricing. They are trading on the history and location in the marketing, but there are better Dartmoor experiences available, trust me- go somewhere else unless you're happy to be taken advantage of. I have been here 3 times now, and... More
