This is a real find. The food is delicious - wonderful fish, and the service extremely good. The waitress was enthusiastic about the food she was serving and knowledgeable. I would recommend this delightful restaurant.

Whilst driving around the Devon countryside in the lovely sunshine we came across this pub/restaraunt/hotel by accident. Am I glad we did. Although parking was a bit of an issue it was not too bad and we managed to park by the village green. A...More

Without doubt, the best food I've had at a Pub-restaurant in a long time, and good value too! Although I understand the menu changes daily, I enjoyed Nachos with Chorizo as a starter, really tasty Duck as a main, with 'Eton Mess' as a desert,...More

Too expensive. Not enough staff to deal with the simplest request. I won't be back when I visit the area again next time.

Really popular with locals and holidaymakers alike this is a quaint and characterful inn tucked away in a very pretty village. The food isn't cheap but the quality is excellent. Can't afford to visit often but it is a real treat when you do!

A quaint old pub with a warren of dining rooms, we ate by ourselves in the largest dining room as the others were full. That part was fine, but as a new heating system was being installed but not yet working, we were a bit...More

Without doubt this is the finest country pub we have ever stayed and dined at. I mean anywhere in the British Isles. This is an ancient inn which the young owner is bringing into the 21st century with sympathetic upgrading but without losing the unique...More

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch today, outside on the patio/courtyard in glorious sunshine with the pleasurable company of young families and friendly dogs. Very much spoilt when one couple lit up. I may have hoped that they would have had the decency not to smoke so...More

The food was very nice, although it could have been a little hotter. The pub has been upgraded and the décor is lovely. The girls who were waitressing were all very pleasant. We have been coming to the pub over a number of years and...More

Overall a very impressive place to visit. Rather a strange mixture of rooms from the highly modernised (but very comfortable!) dining room to the highly traditional bar with another dining area that falls somewhere in between. Taken as a whole it makes for an intriguing...More
