Excellent pub food and good value, very large portions, and we presented. Friendly staff, and beautiful gardens, will visit again.

Stopped in on a whim and delighted we did. Well prepared fresh food in an out of the way corner of Devon. Great to see the history and appreciation of the pub on the walls. An interesting pub and welcoming team. Both had baguettes and enjoyed ample portion. Well impressed with meat and attention to detail on salad. Tasted great.... More

My family living in Devon visit this pub restaurant frequently and have very good things to say about it. Indeed we have been here for Sunday lunch on previous occasions which was always delicious. On this particular evening, I chose a grilled item which was overcooked and tough. The waitress was very apologetic and took it away without fuss. She... More

We had a lovely Sunday lunch, sat in the garden with friends. Food was very good and the staff very polite and jovial!!! Nice pint of Tribute to wash down the food, the Eton mess, yummy.

A great place to go when visiting the area whether you want a pub meal (albeit posh pub nosh) or a restaurant meal. The food is outstanding and considering the quality not expensive. The ambience of the place is classic English pub and the friendliness and knowledge of the staff comes free with the boss always happy to advise about... More

Been several times. Good food, served in good time. Lovely staff and nice country pub atmosphere. This pub has to be good to survive in this location.

A very cold welcome, food okay but they got the order wrong, when we came to pay the bill they had addede 5 extra drinks to the bill, and argued with us. Never again.

Food was nice although slightly on the pricey side for what it was. Good pint of ale too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that if you are planning to bring your dog, arrive early as the Snug Bar, which is the only bar dogs are allowed in, holds only about 12 people seated.
