Decided to have a family Chinese takeaway on a Sunday evening. Have always used the Joy King (not on a regular basis) but this was shut, rather tentatively decided to try the Golden Bridge (which we'd never used). I rang & ordered a few dishes & asked if they had a schezwan or kung po & the young lad I... More

Average Chinese food, nothing special , but not terrible as some of the reviews suggest, some dishes lacking in taste, great after a few beers to take home, but i would say go to the Joy King up the road, its better !

Don't normally go for a Chinese takeaway as find many outlets produce very greasy dishes. Pleasantly surprised by this place. Hubby now has to have his crispy pancake roll every time we get a takeout - even if it's a pizza/Indian/chippy!

Both Chinese in Ivybridge are bad, go to Ming's in Yealmpton or the one in Plymton. So many times I order chicken balls and get home to find there undercooked and red in middle. Chicken isn't hard to cook! Ruined a large phone order by giving lots of the wrong and havnt been back since.

We have been using the Golden Bridge for over 3 decades. It is the main choice for a Chinese Take Away in Ivybridge. The menu is extensive and extremely good value. We can never eat all of it the first time and always end up putting some back into the fridge to eat the next day.

I have eaten at a fair few Chinese restaurants and we used to use the other one in Ivybridge. However, where that one started to go downhill we now prefer this one. I especially like the large portions and I love their sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong Style. Rice is very nice as our the beef and mushrooms. Find... More

They used to be the better of the Chinese takeaways, but have gone down hill. They can't even get your order right when you place it.

Ordered set meal for 3. They forgot the spare ribs and every other dish tasted exactly the same, and each dish had a shortage of any meat. I rang to let them know and was responded to with 'OK'. I took nearly all dishes back complete. I was told that, the flavour was standard, there was nothing wrong and that... More

We get takeaways from here regularly and most of the time they are delicous especially the chicken fried rice been coming here for years! A chineese take-away in a tucked away town on Dartmoor. We've never had a bad meal here and easily beats the grease-fest other Chinese in the town which made us both ill. The staff are always... More
