We visited on a Sunday afternoon for a carvery. As someone who eats a lot of carveries (spoiler alert), I can say this was one of the best I've had in years. Highly recommended.

Went here for a family meal whilst staying in the caravan park just a few minutes walk away in August 2016. Excellent food & service, despite it being a very busy evening. Lovely location & grounds.

Stopped by one lunchtime, as we'd heard good things about this pub, and we weren't disappointed. We had a glass of wine in the bar, overlooking the terrace area, and, after looking at the menu, decided to stay for lunch. We both had scampi and chips - piping hot and delicious, though the salad was rather frugal....for dessert I had the... More

Attended last night for the Quiz and Curry Night. We were a group of four who ordered all of the curries on the menu, thai green curry with prawns, chicken tikka masala and vegetarian chickpea with butternut squash, they were excellent value for money and very tasty, there were several different rices available too which were also good. For a... More

Stopped off here on Sunday by off chance, had never been before and was not disappointed. We couldn't decide between the delicious smelling carvery or the main menu. As a veggie i often find the vegetarian options have no imagination so i was pleased to see something different on offer. I went for the halloumi & chickpea burger which was... More

The Highwayman's Haunt is a traditional country inn with its origins dating back to the 13th Century. Nestled in 4 acres of garden and paddocks, just on the outskirts of the town of Chudleigh, the Inn has beautiful views looking out over the Devon hills. Sit back and enjoy your drink, and a meal maybe, whilst the children can play on our purpose built play tower situated on the lawns. With a warm welcome for all - including your dogs, even your horse!Families and 'mucky boot' friendly...we look forward to welcoming you soon.
